  1. Strong logic. "Repubicans won't lie to you. Generic R is obviously better than generic D because ????. So vote Republican!"
  2. #1 is absurd on its face because you’re pretending the default position of your party, one used to keep complete morons and conspiracy nuts alike in the tent, is that the 2020 election was a farce and Trump actually won. Sample above of you wish to open your eyes. What could possibly go wrong with loosening election laws and rules at the behest of the people described above? Is it that hard to admit he’s just a smug a$$h@!e you like because he’s on your team? That would be a lot more intellectually honest. Unironically probably the nicest thing you’ve said about a Democrat on this board.
  3. Fun fact: a church in my home town has an anti-abortion sign about voting against a proposition out front when I was driving by the other day. If they want to play politics, fine. But then they need to pay taxes just like the rest of us.
  4. Dude we agree. Mickey gets most of the credit. I was just trying to point out that as incompetent as Frost was he didn't f#&% this one up.
  5. Yeah. It was crap then and it's crap now. Oz is a garbage candidate for reasons that have nothing to do with his health.
  6. Recruiting Malachi did not start with Mickey.
  7. He clearly meant to say right to work. The dude has aphasia from a recent stroke. He's admitted as much. Ablism is exactly the kind of garbage I expect from the RNC. They pulled the same crap in 2020 with a dude who's dealt with stuttering his entire life and claimed he had dementia. The Republican Party has fallen a hell of a long way. I hope the current iteration burns down to the foundation and starts over as something that's actually a net benefit to the country. If I lived in PA, I'd vote for a Fetterman who struggles to find words every once in a while over a carpetbagger snake oil salesman Trump kissass 11 times out of 10.
  8. Best of both worlds? They managed not to f#&% it up while here and a new coach should be able to land him?
  9. I'd have been a LOT more concerned if Riley was still the coach in Norman. Their offense looks much less formidable under Venables. Thank goodness Frost and Co. put in the work early with Coleman to get us in the position we're in. One things I'll wholeheartedly give them credit for actually doing right. We could've easily bungled this one, too.
  10. Our offensive line continues to play like dogs#!t. We have maybe one guy who should be starting on a Big Ten OL out there right now. All credit to the guys out their playing to the best of their ability but they're just not talented enough. Frost and Austin can get bent. Raiola was not a good hire. We could not afford a developmental coach for the most important position on the offense. Newsome is a gamer for going out there and gutting it out while not 100%. He's badly needed. Hartzog is really coming along for a true frosh. Brown had some good moments last night. But overall our depth and talent along the secondary needs to improve. We cannot sustain more injuries at LB. Our front seven plays the run well at times and very poorly at others. We need more dogs up front because we still can't get consistent pressure on QBs, whether we're blitzing or not. Injuries to our LB corps don't help. I have no idea how old some of our players are. Tannor is a SR, Reimer a JR and Gifford/Heinrich are SO. Huh. I thought Tannor was younger and the other guys older. Nice that we won't lose too much. I wouldn't count on Heinrich for Illinois - he was clutching the knee and came back on crutches. No knee injury affecting weightbearing is going to be a ~two week recovery time frame (I'm a PT). Palmer's got to get a player of the week award. ~300 yards of offense is insane. His talent is unreal - he's probably gone to the NFL. Illinois is the real deal. We better go to work and get ready for a typicaly Bielema or Iowa-style game. They're going to try to run it down our throats and use that to set everything else up. Completely different gameplan than vs. Purdue. Glad Busch showed a willingness to focus on stopping the run first last night - we're going to need to next, too.
  11. And your offensive line is hot garbage. @ColoradoHusk nailed it. Either QB would've struggled because the lifeblood of our offense is very, very bad. Grant is an fantastic RB, but we only know that because he's able to thrive behind this line and make up for a lot of their sins. Nebraska should not be a place OL coaches need to grow into the position.
  12. Does Herschel Walker understand the difference between Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes? Serious question. He got a lot of softball questions lobbed at him last night with very little follow-up. Warnock got asked about his stance on a professional baseball team. Our country is f#&%ed.
  13. Worse. Unserious morons and people who will knowingly lie to your face to get into power. I mean, politicians have never been truthful. But the Trumpists accelerated this by abandoning any semblance of shame. They realize they're preaching to morons so they can lie about whatever they want, big or small, if it benefits them. I'm not sure if the dumbing down, the abandoning of shame or the rank dishonesty part is most troubling. Certainly putting them all together does not portend anything good.
  14. That’s the rub. They don’t have plans for anything. They’re a reactionary opposition party. Unless you’re interested primarily in posturing against wokeness or legislating Christianity into law.
  15. The very fact Herschel is even sniffing elected office, let alone the Senate, is a sad reflection of how terrible the GOP has become. This is what we get when candidate quality (and personal responsibility, morality, honesty, etc.) have been completely devalued in favor of popularity and name recognition. One of ‘‘em admitted it somewhere on here. “I don’t care how awful Herschel is, we want control of the Senate.” Gonna go ahead and say the “We don’t care, we want power” crowd and their chosen candidates SHOULDN’T have it.
  16. Maybe him, Trump, et al. could STFU and stop whining for two seconds? The rest of us have lives to live. They are not the abused victims central to everyone else's stories. An interesting trait I've noticed with all narcissists is they are always the heroes of their own stories. These two douchebags just opt for a little variation on that theme.
  17. As someone who would prefer to see fewer Republicans elected, I’d actually be quite happy to have known female rights champion Rudy Giuliani making our case for us.
  18. The best argument! The French are terrible at football.
  19. Perusing some resumes for some of the dark horse candidates, as much as some people point to record as a reason to ding somebody like Leipold, you could certainly apply it more harshly to some other candidates people like as well. DeBoer has coached all of 18 games at the D1 level. He only won 9 games in the Mountain West last year. He did not win the conference. Doeren hasn't cracked double digit wins in ten years when he was at NIU winning the MAC. His record at NC State looks a lot more like Bo's with several 9 win seasons with some worse ones sprinkled in, in arguably a worse conference(s). He's good for a 58% win percentage in the ACC. Just food for thought.
  20. Theses a$$h@!es are delusional. They're the heroes of their own stories, sure. But ultimately, for anyone halfway tethered to reality, they're just a$$h@!es. The bad part is half of them think they're soldiers in a holy war annointed by God and half of them are just outright white ethnonationalists chasing white supremacy. Great groups to stick together. What could go wrong?
  21. I don’t view Deion’s personality as a fit for Lincoln at all. Especially when we just fired a coach largely because due to disinterest.
