  1. Finally the people who say Taylor's dad has a hold on Bo can now shut up.
  2. Art Briles isn't going anywhere. Baylor won't let him. After beating the #1 Wildcats last year and being undefeated this year? Art is staying in Baylor. Right now, Jim Tressel isn't coaching but rather has a non-athletic position at Akron. So one has to ask, does Tressel want another coaching job before asking can we make him our new head coach?
  3. After listening to Taylor's presser and Bo's presser. I would not be surprised if Taylor plays against NW, though I feel some confidence that Tommy or Ron will actually play if things go south against NW. It sounded like Bo hesitated to put Tommy in, if Bo knows what is best, he won't hesitate if Taylor can't get the job done against NW. Taylor sounded like he fully expected to start this week against NW. Interviews this week should be more forthcoming as to who will start under center.
  4. I have to disagree with you there. Any athlete in any sport can withhold information about their injury to their coaches and training staff in order to stay on the field or get back on the field. It is up to the coaching staff however to evaluate their performance in practice and make the decision whether they look like they are ready to come back from their injury.
  5. I would hope that they would be more angry to have lost to Minny than some a-hole ripping them one on twitter. Again, there are a million + Husker fans and a few tweet and we are all bad.......... I do not agree with sending them threatening tweets. That is BS. I also think that the way Bo views the fan base, I am shocked he even cares at all. Kenny Bell ‏@AFRO_THUNDER80 17h Tonight was the first night that I have been truly bothered by the hateful comments by people. That being said.... Doesn't really sound angry. More defeated or upset then anything. It takes a lifetime of good deeds to build a reputation. It only takes one bad one to ruin it (saw that quote yesterday in the TB drive-thru ) I read Kenny's comments as he was disturbed by the hateful comments of a few dozen people proclaiming themselves as husker fans. And I can understand, I was upset with some of those comments.
  6. I know there was a few details that were on twitter that Taylor had said, but when i listened to the whole thing, There was much more. 1. Played through the injury despite the pain, until he could no longer bear the pain. 2. "I'm getting there, I'm close to 100%" 3. "I felt good running" and "I thought I threw the ball pretty well" 4. When asked why they weren't as successful throwing the ball against Minnesota compared to last year, he wouldn't answer the question. When asked if there was anything they did different, he wanted to skip the question. 5. "We just couldn't come together as a team" 6. Probably the most disturbing part of this "They came out and stopped us and not much we could do about it". That is a piss poor attitude. 7. "I felt good enough to play" 8. "I've come a long way in 5 weeks, a lot of folks said it would take 3 - 4 months to heal. I don't know, its just something you gotta be able to play through." 9. "Just know what is in the best interest of the team, and today I thought the best interest for the team was me and try to comeback during this 6 week stretch." 10. "Thought the offensive line played pretty well." #8 is probably the most telling, when i will stress the wording he used "folks", he could have meant friends, could have meant trainers, he wasn't specific. But nevertheless, his injury was significant that folks who know precisely what the injury is thought it would take 3 - 4 months to heal. That's basically the entire season. I understand Taylor is a college kid with a lot heart, who really wants to play and be the best he can be. But there is a point where you have to realize, my injury is detrimental to the team's goal.
  7. Let's talk about 5 painful reasons why Husker fans will never be happy.
  8. More fuel to the fire that coach changes are coming by the end of the season.
  9. He should not start. Though if he is healthy, I mean 150% healthy he should get a few reps, but only when we have a comfortable lead (more than 15 points and it would have to be late in the game).
  10. Yea i don't understand that. 4 or 5 years ago we praised Dobson for the S&C program. Now we call him out and want him fired, I can only think that Dobson isn't used to the typical physicality that the Big Ten puts on our guys.
  11. Anyone want to theorized that maybe Martinez isn't truthful to the coaches how he feels?
  12. Don't care who is behind center, our blocking was bad!!!
  13. Martinez said he was not 100%
  14. I'd like to see the Huskers beat Urban Meyer, but I'll settle for a close loss. Now Brady Hoke, it would have to be a win, no close loss will be accepted.
  15. If you are gonna go, you gotta let us know how the beer and walleye served in the stadium taste.
  16. The AP won't drop 3 SEC teams out of the Top 25. What are you smoking? Only Florida drops out of the rankings. Georgia and South Carolina stay in. I'm not saying I agree with it, it's just that I realize how much the AP loves the SEC. I don't see the Spartans going into the Top 25 before us as well. Maybe if they had a more solid win against Purdue.
  17. It doesn't make me mad the Aggies have found success in the SEC, even though they lost to Auburn. Missouri was a surprise to me, Their offense is doing great, scoring over 35 points per game. I'm gonna sound like an ass here, but their schedule so far, has been light. Up until the last two weeks. Murray State, Toledo, Indiana (which is being ridiculed for having the worst defense in the Big Ten), Arkansas State, and Vanderbilt. They got done thrashing a young Georgia defense and a crippled offense losing their two best RBs. How would we as Husker fans react if we lost both Imani Cross and Abdullah at this point in the season? Talk about Huskerboard meltdown. I don't know how Florida was ever ranked, They only beat Toledo, Tennessee, Kentucky and Arkansas. Florida is the classic example of media talking heads blowing up how big the SEC must be. I feel confident saying that we could beat Florida and it wouldn't be close. Back to Missouri, looking at the rest of their schedule, they got some better competition coming their way. South Carolina (yes I know they lost to Tennessee but that doesn't make them irrevelant) and Texas A&M. Playing Ole Miss on the road could be a trap game for them. Playing Tennessee at home and Kentucky on road, seem like wins for an offense that seems unstoppable.
  18. Akron almost beat them at home. Having the Spartans at home helps. But we have two rough road games in Ann Arbor and College Station.
  19. Hopefully they don't back out like Boise State did.
  20. Well at least Texas didn't make it into the polls. Northwestern has had back to back losses, no surprise they fell out. Wisconsin moved in barely. Kind of funny to see Northern Illinois, Fresno State, and Texas Tech undefeated.

    Afalava

I believe Sean Callahan said this before. Our defense gets better as the season goes on. They get more dialed in.
  22. If Long is out for an extended time, I am sure the coaching staff will work another guy in that spot during the bye week. It sucks to lose a Captain like him.
