It's just a bizarre thing to really hope for. If not having a fullback is something that helps you win games, it should have worked during the Frost era.
-
I won't judge his ypc too harshly because he clearly had no business going into the season as RB1 as a true freshman. Add it to the long list of Frost's mismanagement. He did okay against Buffalo and Oklahoma and that's about the entire sample size. If anything he should be fresh.
-
I would love to see Ervin stay healthy and get some carries. Not a huge sample size, but he's been productive when he's gotten his chances. Rhule had me fired up when talking about being one of the fastest guys one the team at 221lbs and using him as a battering ram to close games.

Oh s#!t, son. Ahman Green has a Twitch?

I disagree.

This is the problem with enthusiastically lowering the bar for Scott Frost's sake for 5 years.
-
First off yes, we should start playing like a program that consistently brings in fringe top 25 classes. At some point though we should raise the bar and stop pretending fringe top 25 is good enough for a historically top 10 program.

What players leave after the season? 2022/23 version

I wouldn't go that far. We had some decent WRs. That was far from our biggest problem. -

It's amazing how so much of the detail is precise to the game. When they walk into a new room I'm like "oh yeah I remember this map". Every last detail is there. Bill's town was much more intense in the game. I was disappointed they didn't have some of those amazing action sequences. That's where I really fell in love with the game. Also disappointed Bill and Ellie didn't get to meet. Beyond that the show has been great! The casting has been on point.- 2,836 replies

Hey I just noticed the Big Ten has more than ten teams. Might want to change the name.

How would you grade the hiring of Matt Rhule so far?
The Dude replied to Huskerfollower4life's topic in Husker Football
No but I remember a lot of people making fun of Bill Snyder for taking a lot of JUCO transfers, then it ended up working out pretty well for him. Either way it's a vastly different landscape now so what people made fun of before we had 24/7 free agency is irrelevant. -
We should start our own collective. The Huskerboard Hoard. Hmm. The name needs work.

** 2022 Opponent Previews : Wisconsin (Game 11) **

I'm much less worried about Fickell and Wisconsin now, knowing they're going air raid. Maybe we dodged a bullet afterall. -

The Dude replied to Huskerfollower4life's topic in Husker Football
I watched a lot of the Pitt film when he was hired. I didn't notice anything about his system that inherently put the QB in an abnormal amount of danger. In fact the QB faired quite well. I think the simpler explanation is the offensive line was bad. Like, really bad. -
Suck it, Wyoming.

I didn't know it was a sensitive topic. My apologies.

I'm sure your grandson could hold his liquor a bit better though.

We did it last year with our OL position coach and it nearly got Casey Thompson killed. -

Hiring good coaches is generally the better approach. Hiring your buddy's son can work, but it's a long shot. -

Yep the one that's a top 5 defense.
