  1. You'd have to have seen the context in which he's been shredded by the press and fans around here to have a better understanding of why he answered those questions the way he did. He wasn't joking when he said it didn't matter how he answered the questions, he'd still get ripped for it. Just look at the responses to this thread, and other threads around here. There are people who call themselves Husker fans who act like they hate the guy. I agree, it's embarrassing.
  2. I'm actually somewhat concerned about this game. No way we hold OSU to 7 points like Sparty did. Michigan State's defense is vastly superior to ours, as bad as that sounds. Our defense is more comparable to Colorado's, again, as bad as that sounds. OSU toasted them. I'm also not sold that our offense will be able to do much against OSU's defense.
  3. Big10 - I think the biggest flaw in your reasoning is you act like every Big Ten team is as good as Wisconsin. They're clearly the best team in the conference. They're the defending champs and are even better than they were last year, with Wilson giving them a huge boost and a whole new dimension to an already lethal offensive attack. Not to mention, most of the rest of the league is down. Any style of play can work as long as it's ran correctly. If this was still Osborne's option offense it would steam roll anyone in the league. Option football is one of the hardest types of offense to defend. It's also one of the hardest to run. You can't expect them to be running it to perfection 5 games in, with a bunch of inexperienced underclassmen. And the notion that it's one dimensional couldn't be further off base. Running the option properly gives you a whole other dimension to your running game. We're just not running it properly yet. Dismissing it with your only evidence being that one game is asinine.
  4. Fonzie's Facebook status from today was encouraging:
  5. To be fair, corn is always interesting.
  6. True to the Red........ Always, That attempt to post a vid was... HILARIOUS!
  7. Brick, do you really love the lamp or are you just saying it because you saw it?
  8. The game was a quagmire of piss and bullsh#t on both sides of the ball. Trying to pin the loss on one person is utterly futile.
  9. I'd take that challenge. Have you seen him in person? He's a couple inches taller than me, but I'm considerably bigger and stronger than he.
  10. He's right. Besides Fonzie, the secondary is ass. Shouldn't have posted that though, and he knows that.
  11. I just wanted to congratulate the Badger fans that posted here leading up to the game on a great victory. You guys got a hell of a football team up there, and I wish you the best of luck this season. Hope to see you again in Indianapolis.
  12. A few more meltdowns like this and Bo will absolutely be on the hot seat at season's end. I think his biggest mistake is hiring his buddies as coordinators and assistants instead of qualified coaches.
  13. Eh, way too early for this thread to exist. Brion will probably get his chance at some point this season, but let's see how Taylor responds against OSU. Brion is not ready to start a game like that. No one was more disappointed in Taylor than Taylor last night. He did say we'd see Wisconsin again this year, I'd like to see if he can make good on that.
  14. Good posts EZ-E and Husker_x. I agree with both of them, if that makes any sense.
  15. Although it's completely absurd that Fisher is even on the 2-deep, poor tackling seems to be a team problem.
  16. We need a more stringent requirement for earning a coordinator job than "yeah, I grew up in Youngstown."
  17. Abandoning the run with the lead was mind-boggling. Taylor's picks and the god awful defense didn't help matters though.
  18. This is becoming a common theme, and that's very disappointing.
  19. I'm old school, so I have no problem with it and would absolutely send my son to play for Pelini. Our society is too soft.
