So will it be illegal to tackle a guy from behind? Or if a defensive end comes at a qb's blindside, should he tap him on the shoulder so he can be seen, and then hit him?
where is it clear that the coaching is good......if you had said mediocre ok but good?
Because the talent is clearly a step (or two) below Georgia, and, offensively at least, that lack of talent matched up very well for 3 quarters.
Recruiting is a huge part of coaching, so although I see what you are saying, you can't say that they are good coaches with the poor recruting that they are accompishing.
Agreed. Should have been more specific.
Good game indeed. Can't complain too much as a Husker fan. Scored 31 (and could have been more) on a top 10 team and really were in control for 3 quarters.
Also, I'd love to have more guys like #36 on our team. Played fast, hard, and little dirty. Like Eric Martin in the secondary.
I think it's clear that the coaching is good, but we need better recruiting.
Pollack and Palmer were right all day long - Nebraska hung in there with slower, smaller and less talented players. Yes, there are a few playmakers on this team, but Georgia simply had more talent.
Although I would love to have Wisnewski (sp?) I bet he ends up at Iowa.
You are entitled to your opinion, but I know plenty of people that would agree with me. If I'm wrong, I would be more than happy to eat my crow and say you were right.
Ehh as much as I hate to say it I bet he goes to Iowa.
that's not a problem with recruiting. Is it tougher for nu to recruit because of it? Maybe, maybe not.
And please give an example of how Jason peter can/could motivate these 18-22 year old young men. Showing videos of old football games doesn't work, they can do that on YouTube if they really feel like it.
I disagree... to a point. I think we need a coach with the balls to say something, or more importantly, do something about what was a clear gap in speed and athletic ability at certain positions.
Good topic.
There will always be people that try to tear down and criticize. It's much more difficult to be proud and supportive during a tough time. Doesn't mean I'm happy that we got smoked, though.
We all stick together in all kinds of weather...
This is ridiculous. Every fan, coach and armchair qb yells at the guy for not catching the ball. Enough. He knows he's supposed to catch it. He's not trying to drop passes. He works hard to fix it. Leave the guy alone.
Before everyone else starts nagging on him to catch the ball, you do it. If you can't - better yet if you haven't - stfu.
Actually, I think the third, fourth and fifth ones are pretty sweet (in the above picture). They tried to get all their school colors in one uniform, and while a few of them are over the top, some are eye-popping awesome, IMO.
Yep. Scandal is clearly the focus of the headline, but the article is far from revealing or ground-breaking. Combine that with the fact that NU has the most prominent place in the picture while and you have some irresponsible journalism at work. I don't hate ESPN, but that was a strange combo and article.
