Cody Greens strong suit is not passing. He has a big arm. Reminds me of Vince not accurate on passes. He had a couple like that against Texas Tech. The defender got hit right in the hand and dropped the INT's. Hopefully passing out and on the run will improve for him.

Crick is becoming a great pleayer in his own right but understand that playing next to Suh makes it easier to dominant one on one blocking. If Suh wasnt being doubled every play he would be able to do the same.

The North is an absolute joke this year. More so than any other year. Texas Tech is 2 - 2 in conference ranked fourth in the South behind Texas, OU, and OSU. With a 2 - 2 record the fourth place South team would be tied for second. Furthermore Texas A&M is 5th in the South and would be tied for third in the North with us, KU, and Colorado. I really hope we try to shake up the conference. A team from the North need to be booted and one of the Oklahoma moved to the North. Then they could move in one of the other team out of Texas. We need to get legitimacy so we don't become the Pac-10 or Big Ten.

I am being negative becuase even if we win the battle of the nobodies to win the North. We will get rolled by who ever the representative for the south is.

The Big 12 North is not a mess. It is absolutely terrible. FYI there are 3 phases to the game Offense, Defense, and Special Teams. Our best scoring weapon cannot help put point on the board for us because we either can't move the ball or can't hold on to it. I hope this is a lesson to us all that we cannot put stock into where we are as a team until they play a team worth a damn. After our first two sunbelt opponents it seemed as though people believed we were heading to the championship. This board was flooded with ESPN hates us, no respect comments, and other of the like. Now where are we 4 wins 3 Loses. I think we were fortunate to win the MU game. Things lined up for us to have a chance. It seemed like every team we played or will play was is missing key pieces from VT's - RB, OU - QB and TE, Baylor's - QB, Texas Tech's - OL and QB, and last week ISU - QB, RB, and DB after the ejection. I agree with Vince. The only reason Cy is talking a little smack tonight is becuase alot of fans were dooped into thinking that we had a championship team. Even after getting whooped by TT last week Cy warned that NU wasnt as good as everyone thought. What did he get? Taunts and ridicule as to how stupid his opinion was. Check the topics that he post last week and read response to his predictions. This game also speaks to how terrible both NU and ISU offense was. I know the defense is leaps and bounds better than last year but any average offense would have been able to score at least one touchdown out of 8 turnovers.

The coaches put the players in position to win this game on both sides of the ball. The offense turnsover were to blame. They had no trouble moving the ball just holding on to it. Yes Zac had three INT but only 1 was truly his fault this game the RB and WR let us down. Defense played great but ISU offense was terrible. Not saying the blackshirt are not back but if a team get 8 turnovers they should be able to aleast score of of one or two. I could only imagine what the game would have been like had the starting RB and QB was in the game.

Let's assume that we win out and make the North. Let's also assume that Texas wins out is the South champion. Understanding that both these are speculation at this point; I would think that Texas players well be up to the challenge and give us a good effort considering they would be one game away from the National championship. I think we need to focus on Iowa State. I hope they are on par with the Sunbelt talent so our offense can score points.

Regardless to what people may say about who the collective fans were booing for. They can only speak for themselves. They cannot definitively say why anyone else was booing. Consider this: If one person starts to boo, then someone else joins in, how is the second and following Boo-ers to know the reason for Boo-er 1's boos. As easily as it is assumed that all of the reactionary Boo-ers we booing becuase of the officials; it can also be assumed that at least some of the reactionary Boo-ers might have been booing becuase they thought the initial Boo-er was booing becuase of the bad play on the field.

Yeah it doesnt hurt that they have 5 stars waiting on the bench in case people do go down.

Pretty sure the Suh doesnt go against the first team O or D during practice. They work with the scout team to prepare for the offense they will face.

Funny how he has no problem answering the question after a win. Also every coach across the country understands that this is part of the job win or lose. Didn't he notice the the HC's he played under did interviews. We do not have a right to know anything because as he says he is the coach. However once Callahan lost the support of the base he began to lose the team and ultimately his job. In regards to his press conference comment after practice. There is only one person every four years the has earned the title of President of the United States. Last time I checked every aspect of the presidency is scrutinized all day every day. I think as the HC's of the only gig in the state that matters or people care about scrutiny is to be accepted.

I will admit before I begin I was never sold on Pelini. That be said I feel he is doing a better job than I expected. However a lot of people asked for three traits and raved that he possesses the second with flying colors. People said was a Nebraska guy, he was fiery, and could mold a defense. Well his “fiery” behavior is a example of what every said they like about him. For people that keep saying he should know how to talk to media. He never had to answer criticisms as a Defensive Coordinator because the head coach makes the decisions and his defenses were pretty good. Yeah you might hear from a little from the different coordinators, but for the most part the head coach is supposed to take the fall because he has the final say so.

I completely agree. I think we have a false since of entitlement based on our history that we should always be top story. Everyone is screaming respect us based on who we were instead of give us respect based on who we are. College football lives by what have you done for me lately. If it was all about tradition and history then Joe Pa and Bobby Bowden would not have to answer retirement question at every press conference.

That is a good point. All the false has to be inconstancy in his cadence. You cant practice it one way and then all of a sudden change on game day. It seem like if the play is on one; he is going to the line and saying set hut, then changing the play when they are expecting the second hut.

I agree the defense would provide Cody Green the best opportunity to gain playing experience against Baylor and ISU. However at the point Cody Green began to roll the game was pretty much over. Its a lot easier to come in for the guy and be the guy when the main guy played like crap. If he is going to start he is going to have to learn his position and learn the plays.

Almost a month ago (after the V Tech Game) I started this topic because my friends didnt believe we had offensive problems. After V Tech, Missouri, and T Tech I dont know what to say. This is unbelieveable I cannot believe that this was as bad as it was. Even after the first touchdown the staduim was absoulty silent. I hve been hearing how great the defense played they had their moment but a true blackshirt defense would find that performance unacceptable. I read people talking about Heisman, Polls and BCS games last week and I was critized for saying slow down. People we have a long way to go from where this program was. I just hope we see improvements on both sides soon. (espically the offense)

You know I'm not saying that this is whats being done by the radio station. But rumors would be a good marketing ploy for rating with our crazy fan base. If they open the show saying i got juicy husker news but have to confirm everyone will listen attentively. Then at the end they could just say something about a sport other than football or say that the rumor was debunked. Guaranteed if they do again the next day people would be all ears.

Forgive me but I do not share your belief of Okafor's abilities. I just think if he was truly all that was advertised in your post he would have seen some time even mop up duty. I played against guys that did certain things extremely well and it frustrated me to go against them in the drills were there ability excelled. Overall they didn't have what it took to combine the various fascist of the game so they didn't play.
