    If MMA had just boxing...itd be boxing. I don't understand what youre trying to say...? Why would Couture stand and box with Toney knowing that is where he is strongest? Sorry about the confusion. IMO the argument that because an MMA fighter beats a boxer in an MMA match, doesn't prove superiority between the two disciplines. Early in the fight Couture did try to stand and exchange blows. He took a pretty good shot and took the fight to the mat.

    I watched the Toney Couture fight - everyone said it proved MMA is superior. To me it proved couture is better at his craft than Toney. If an MMA fighter had to just box what happens - lights out. These are two separate disciplines, Rousey looking for attention.

    The report is out and now it's pretty bad for Richie, John Jerry, and Mike Pouncey. Couldn't be a worse week for this to land with the Michael Sam story dying down.

    I would expect the NCAA's comment to be: We expect our student athletes to handles criticism from our paying spectators with the utmost professionalism. Along with the three game suspension, Mr. Smart will be required to do an hour long autograph signing before each game he is suspended. (As a thank you to our fans.)

    Close geographic proximity has not been a huge concern for over 20 years. And never was for the PAC or ACC. Oregon to Arizona and Boston to Florida. Even Lincoln to Texas, or Boulder to Texas was not exactly a short trip. The length of the trip to Columbus is about the same as our longest trip in the Texas conference.

    I agree it is worse and a fine and suspension is forthcoming. Does he have a history of this kind of outburst?

    The big money donors are upset they were left out of the coaching selection. Red McCombs thinks Strong would be a good position coach or maybe cooridinator. LOL - but maybe this new AD is what they needed.

    I usually am one to laugh at all the comments about Ed Cunningham, but today I am on board with the majority of the posters, Ed's call of the game did not sound like this was a neutral broadcast. His call of the game seemed like he only found the GA media guide. There has to be a reason that we continue get him for any ABC or ESPN game we have.

    I think there was some truth to him juicing. His return from injury took a pretty long time. A lot of the other fighters were talking about him using stuff.

    Watching both the Big 12 "Championship" and the Sec Championship and would have never expected the scoring explosion to be in the SEC game.
