  1. Okay, so last year he got in some trouble for kicking a down player, but this year? Why? Am I missing something?
  2. I'm really impressed by the poise this team has under pressure and Martinez never looks frazzled or phased. You get the feeling that they never believe they're out of it until the final whistle blows. I hope this leads to even greater things next year.
  3. I confess...after the pick six by MSU for a TD I had to excuse myself from the game. I was way too amped up. I'm glad I came back to check back in and finish it out. I think I have aged at least 10 years this season.
  4. How many drives stalled in the red zone? While I'm happy about the win, they left too many points on the table with drives that stalled inside the 20.
  5. Good win for sure. It feels good to be in the driver's seat for the conference. Taylor kept the fumbles to one. Too many penalties. The offense stalled too many times inside the 20. Sean Fisher played a good game.
  6. Game ball to Sean Fisher for his performance against Michigan. Way to go Sean!
  7. I predict 3 turnovers, 5-6 false starts, and at least one Michigan punt return for a TD. Nebraska loses 56-28.
  8. Bo is completely unraveling and losing it.
  9. For about the last two years the team has lost one that they shouldn't.
  10. This team couldn't stop UCLA and got embarrassed by Braxton Miller and tOSU and there's talk about winning out? Let me do my best Jim Mora..."Winning out!? Winning out!?" The offense looks inconsistent and the defense can't stop a mobile quarterback to save their life. Sorry, I'm just not buying it. Before the season even began I had the Huskers going 8-4. I'm sticking to it with loses at Michigan and Michigan State. Please Huskers...prove me wrong....
  11. Fans want to see a team that can play and beat good teams and be competitive for conference and national titles. Simply put, we want Nebraska to return to its rightful place among the elite college programs.
  12. As the sixth leading rusher in Nebraska history, he deserved his career defining moment last night where maybe he ran 28 times for 250 yards and three TDs in a big game....but it didn't happen. I hope he recoups quickly and gets his shot against Meechicken.
  13. Does this sound familiar? Frankie heard it....Will we hear this in the next year or two?
  14. Didn't Frankie get fired for similar circumstances as what Bo finds himself in now? Losing the big games? Losing by sizeable margins?
  15. Whatever the kool-aid drinkers are having give me some! Look, this team just got smoked by a team that frankly isn't all that great and that was after an embarrassing performance against Wisconsin! Oh, and then there's the game against UCLA where Nebraska couldn't tackle to save their life. Perception doesn't change reality and here is the reality: This team is just not very good. It lacks speed, execution (a word Bo likes to use), and preparation. The numerous dumb mistakes and false starts yesterday also indicates a team that is not very prepared or disciplined. Maybe you can make the argument that it was loud, I dunno. I will add that my harsh critique is not an indication that I am not "a true fan." I love this team and want them to be the best and that's what drives my critique. Having said that, I believe this team will lose two more regular season games and their bowl game. Sigh....
  16. Anyone can beat Arkansas State, Idaho State, or Southern Miss. With the exception of Wisconsin this team looks pretty inept to beat a "good" team. The Huskers are on pace to finish 8-4 like I thought and are just not very good. I have tried to be supportive of Pelini and have refrained from ever saying anything disparaging about him, but I gotta admit, my faith in him, Papuchis, and Beck have taken a major hit after this game.
  17. Nebraska can't seem to fix the propensity to make really dumb mistakes. It also takes them almost the entire first quarter to settle down and play football. They also don't have any big playmakers on defense like we have had in the past few years (see: Suh, Amukamara, Crick, and Dennard). It's a big game on the road against a mobile quarterback. Nod goes to OSU in a close one.
  18. I stand corrected....Enunwa, not Bell. Thanks for "cleaning" up my errors.
  19. Lots of positives....This team doesn't quit. Some players finally showed up and made their mark; Steinkuhler, Fisher....Another good passing performance by Taylor. No picks I think? On the bad side? They still make a lot of dumb mistakes....fumbles, roughing the kicker, etc. Gotta clean those up.
  20. In my opinion, there was some bad officiating last night. On one play, Kenny Bell makes an apparent grab at the one or two yard line of Wisconsin and it is called an incomplete pass. The drive stalls and Nebraska has to settle for a FG. On another play, Stave's knee goes down to pick up the football and I believe it was a "no call." In the fourth, we got called for pass interference when the ball was essentially uncatchable and even the interference was questionable. And on yet another play, Wisconsin gets a generous mark and a first down when it appeared he was about a yard or two short. The fourth quarter was the worst.
  21. Hey Bo? When are we going to fix the problem of making one dumb mistake after another?
  22. I remember at one point the team was riding on an emotional high and I noticed it never phased Taylor. He remained calm, cool, and collected and he was all business. I was really impressed. He kept his emotions in check and just played the game. Way to go Taylor!
  23. During the golden years of the NU/OU rivalry, Brent was a clear Sooner lover.
  24. The OWH has listed possible candidates for the AD position. They include: Trev Alberts, AD at the University of Nebraska, Omaha Greg Byrne, AD, University of Arizona Joe Castiglione, AD, University of Oklahoma John Cook, Head Coach, University of Nebraska, Volleyball Paul Meyers, Associate athletic director for the Huskers Athletic Fund Jamie Pollard, Director of Athletics at Iowa State University Dave Rimington, President of the Boomer Esiason Foundation Jamie Williams, Huskers' associate athletic director of diversity and leadership initiatives Who do you like? I would like to see either Trev Alberts, John Cook, Dave Rimington, or Jamie Williams get the position. I want someone with deep ties to the University of Nebraska. No outsider for me.
