I think the SEC's recent bowl success has as much to do with blatant Cam Newton style cheating as anything. However, the new rules regarding the timing of the game have really shifted the advantage away from running teams. Strength and conditioning aren't nearly the advantage they used to be. Teams can run just as much clock running a Leach-syle basketball-on-turf offense as a running team. The faster you can get down the field and score, the better off you are. You don't have to worry as much about running out of gas because the game is so short and defenses aren't on the fiield as long. This is how Texas Tech can beat Oklahoma and then turn around and get face-raped by the Cyclowns. It's ruining the college game.

yes let's play top 10 teams every week and go undefeated. why didn't we think of this approach before? capital idea!

In what universe was this a complete game? we had Zero passing yards at halftime, that has to be some kind of record. outside of the two long drives to start the second half (one of them saved by a personal foul penalty) the offense really didn't do much. hopefully the defense is finally starting to come around, but it didn't look like sparty really even wanted to be there. if this hadn't been a nebraska game, i would have shut it off and mowed my lawn.

a) there was some sort of agreement when we signed up that everyone gets to beat wisconsin but us. b) all we need to do to beat wisconsin next time is run the hail mary every time we get the ball. they can't defend it for sh!t

dint say he was coming to Lincoln. You have to admit it's pretty amazing Joe Pa was the last B1G coach to beat us at home. And he's still coaching 30 years later. Fact: Penn State was not a Big 10 team when that happened. The last Big 10 team to win in Lincoln was Minnesota in 1960...
