Husker-in-Manhattan

2 new coaches in the North Division should mean a somewhat easier schedule than originaly expected. I think you mean just one new Coach in the North...and then 1 in the South... And no I dont think it has any affect on us. We just need to take care of business on and off the field and we will be just fine. GBR!!!

Is this guy really comparing his golf game to the Big 12 Title Game? I live in Manhattan and have ran into a few "football Genius'" here since Saturday, They all have ripped on the Pelini's as well and had some pretty bad words about our fan base for "bitching and whinning" about the call. I responded with one statement.... You(Wildcat Fan) don't know how your coach or fan base would react in that situation unless you are put into that situation....and I guarentee that you(wildcat fan) wont be put into that situation ever as long as Nebraska has someting to say about it... They shut up after that....

I also live in Manhattan and will be sporting my Husker gear all week!!!(like I do everyday!) Just got back to Manhattan and as I pulled into town it looked really dark...Then I realized "The Bill's" Lights werent on like they usually are at this time of night. Guess we....Turned off the lights on them!!! GO BIG RED!!!

Iam guesing this is an oversight. Any writer can look and see that Kstate has won 6 games...so they must be bowl eligible...But in reality they have to come into Lincoln and not only win to win the North...but they have to win just to get into a bowl....

Just feel lucky that you dont live here in Manhattan!!! I have lived here for over 2 years...Of course for the first two years they werent very good and there wasnt that much "purple Pride" in the air...But now that they think they are turning things around it is just getting out of hand!!! Everyone here thinks they are going to run the table and beat texas in the Big 12 Title game just like 2003!!! Everyone has that one team that they want Nebraska to beat every year. For me it is KSU. It all started back in 1998 when I attended the game here in that high school stadium they call now call "The Bill". After losing 40-30 I was walking out of the Student section and some old man taps me on my shoulder...."Can I buy your Big 12 Championship Tickets you Nubber"...From then on I have hated KSU with a passion. Now living here I hate them even more. Last year I looked forward to seeing the Husker Nation take over the town, and dominate the game. I have never seen another teams fans take over Aggieville like we did last year! It was great! Now I have been looking forward to November 21st since last year...It will be my first trip back to Memorial Stadium since 2004...And it makes it even more special for me because my Girlfriend(who goes to Kstate) will be wearing Red with me! And I cant wait to introduce her to the Husker Nation!!! GO BIG RED!!!

Bill has them overachieving Big Time. It is very impressive what he has done with this talent-lacing team. However they are one Dimensional on offense. Yesterday Daniel Thomas Rushed for 185 yards...Grant Gregory threw for 66 yards(1-1 for 1 yard in the second half) On defense they have some ball hawks in the secondary but their D-line is pretty weak. They are getting turnovers when they need them. KU had 3 drive killing turnovers in the 1st half yesterday. Kstate fans are on a high right now. I was out in Aggieville, sporting my Husker gear with all the KU/KSU fans partying. Had many respectful KU fans come up to me saying how they have packed it in and are ready for Basketball season to start. But the KSU fans were the opposite, saying how Nebraska got lucky last night and that our D isnt that good, and that we will run all over us. Pretty entertaining...I can't wait for November 21st!!! But one game at a time...If you are going to the game or want to...I am sure tickets will be plentiful in Lawerance.

I unfortuantly live in Man-Happening as well. I hate Kstate with a passion. Their fans are the dumbest in the Big 12 and are on high right now thinking that Bill Snyder is a God.(yes he is a good coach, but not a God) All they are talking about is how good they are. How "D-Train"(Daniel Thomas) and "KV"(Keithen Valentine) are the best 1-2 punch in the Big 12. Just wait their time is coming... I think KU is the more Talented team. I hope they show up tomorrow and put the purple pricks back in their place.... With a Husker Victory and a Wildcat loss we take control of the Big 12 North race...But with a Wildcat Win and Husker Win...that game on November 21st gets awhole lot more interesting.... GO BIG RED!!!

Last year at the Gator Bowl I tailgated pretty close to the Swift Family. After the game...Nate Swift, Joe Ganz, Suh and some other players were all there tailgating and celebrating the win...That was pretty cool! Didnt take any pictures of it though. Never been into the whole "shock and awe" of seeing someone younger in street clothes. But it was cool to see them celebrating and having fun with their families! Now running into Tom Osborne is something to take a picture of. GBR!!!
