  1. If it's Fleck, I'm guessing Kill isn't calling to congratulate him. Didn't Fleck work under Kill?
  2. I think there is a Hilton Garden Inn down in the Railyard now. That'd be a nice spot.
  3. I did not get to hear that today but I will try and listen later. Is it safe to say that next year there will be no levels of toxins on the team? Damon intimated as much. Said that Gerry would not get a ringing endorsement from his current DC and he knows it. Might have some tough questions from NFL scouts.
  4. Listened to Sharp and Benning this morning and it sounded like it was almost a conscious effort to not be eligible to play in the bowl game. I guess if that is the case it seems very short sighted. You are getting your education paid for and are now going to be done at the university without a degree. I hope he has a great NFL career and comes back to finish up.
  5. Shoot, was hoping to get Graham. I know we can't get everyone of the top players at their position in the country, but had my hopes up on this one. If he doesn't choose DoNU, then best of luck to him except against us.
  6. If he is visiting Louisville in January this says something considering Riley's new rule this year that commits can't visit other schools during the month of January. I guess that either means he doesn't intend to sign with Nebraska or the coaches have told him that he doesn't have a guaranteed spot and that's why he is looking around but keeping Nebraska in the picture. Riley's new rule? Riley doesn't want recruits taking visits in the month of January. They can look around or take visits up until then. Just tried to be honest with them about how it puts the staff in a precarious position because if they flip that late in the game, they have few options to replace said player. Someone might have a better quote out there though.
  7. Pretty sure Ben was taking his official visit this weekend. Probably a better explanation.
  8. What happens to Tavita Thompson? I really like him and what he has done with the TE's. Cethan's end line blocking has been markedly better since TT started coaching him. Cotton and Foster were also better players. He's also a pretty good recruiter on campus. Sorry to derail the thread. Just thought Thompson need a plug for the job he's done.
  9. Wouldn't say it is about your knowledge in the situation. It's more about experience within the board. That's part of the reason they keep track of your post count. If you have good info, stick around and post it and your reputation will follow.
  10. I think I remember last year, Sam Foltz frantically looking for the trophy. http://www.thedailygopher.com/2015/10/17/9562063/broken-chair-trophy-embraced-by-nebraska-following-win-over-minnesota
  11. i cracked a joke late last night in a status that i hear every election... My election prediction. Democrats take early lead but it disappates in afternoon once republicans get off work. We live in the same town. Pretty sure voting locations have been busy all day. Heck, my voting location (E Free Church) was out of stickers by 10am. There must be more Democrats in good ole Hastings than I thought.
  12. Killing them won't bring any of those people back, and it won't stop any murders in the future. I won't shed a tear if they die, but I take no satisfaction in seeing their lives get taken. I also feel that's a dangerous road to go down, vengeance-as-justice*. I'd want no part of that. *Including what Count said. Life in prison may be more agonizing, but for me, that's no reason to prefer it as punishment. I wrote a paper on this in college and my ending statement was from a father of one of the children who was killed in the Oklahoma City bombing my Timothy McVeigh. http://deathpenaltycurriculum.org/student/c/about/arguments/argument2b.htm
  13. Same thing, but in this case it's a national law (hope that's the correct terminology) restricting via insurance, and not a particular type of hospital's religious mandate. It just seems like we're hurting people. Having close family and friends that are in the medical/OB field, I have actually asked them about this. One stated it was the hardest consult he had ever had to do in his 2nd year of residency. The baby had ruptured the womb and had caused the water to break at just before 20 weeks. There was nothing they could do to save the child. The hospital he was doing his residency at was in Texas and was not allowed to do a miscarriage D and C because there was still a fetal heart rate. The only thing they were allowed to do was manage the pain, provide infection control measures, and offer comfort. It's much like the video in the OP. He had to tell the once happy expecting parents the only option was to wait for the baby to die in a day or two and then do the D&C. To me, it feels cruel to do that to the now grieving parents.
  14. Does it say who is on the call for the game?
  15. This would be a very nice addition....think that our chances are good with Lewis since Johnson is now visiting? (teammates) I don't think so. He isn't the same type of WR(if that's where we want him) that Lewis is. Lewis is big body, this guy is smaller. I think he was meaning our chances might be better since they are team mates.
  16. Then of those 6, you are 50%. I just see this going off topic and thought the mods might feel this discussion deserved its own thread. If this is as far as it goes with the Les talk, then fine by me. Later Francis.
  17. Is it just me or could a good portion of this thread be moved to another thread about Les Miles and Purdue possibility? I have some thoughts on it, but don't really feel like posting it in Ben Miles recruit thread. Thanks.
  18. One of the greats. Glad he got to catch one last practice and HCMR had the team say hello. Thanks for everything uncle Milt.
  19. If you watch the pervious punts, he was one step kicking. No real "wind up" or step into it. Yesterday he kicked it like a normal 3 step punt.
  20. I don't understand why we aren't even trying to set up a return on punt. If I was DPE,I wouldn't want to catch a punt with 6-7 defenders in my face. Short punts or not, that aspect needs help
  21. No longer committed to Nebraska. I think Huskers may have pulled the offer. We now have zero commits for 2017.
  22. Is this what is affectionately known as "subtweeting"?
