    Megatron aka Calvin Johnson hit the lottery today. Lions re-sign him for 7-yrs. $132 mil with $60 mil guaranteed. It's the richest deal ever handed out in the NFL to date. Exceeding Larry Fitzgerald's $120 mil deal.

    Idaho State announced hiring of new HC. This means Nebraska's first 4 games will be against teams with new HC's. Furthermore, 5 of our first 6 games will be against new HC's.

      @default_28, I read it via twitter from Brett McMurphy last night but when I went to quote the tweet just now, it was gone. Turns out it was a typo on his part. He accidentally typed in the acronym CFB instead of MBK (Men's Basketball). He ended up RT'ing another sports writer's tweet in place of his deleted typo tweet. So it's a false alarm.

      If Kelly does leave, Oregon should consider making a call to Rich Rod. At least his offensive philosophy gels with Kelly's and would keep continuity with current players.

      At the NCAA convention this morning the Board of Directors have voted against scholarship cuts and are reaffirming their stance to allow 2k stipend for student-athletes regardless of overwhelming opposition from non-BCS schools.

      Yes. Kevin Greene choked him when he was with the Carolina Panthers. Jason Peter mentioned witnessing that in a tweet a few days ago too. Peter was a rookie during Steele's last season at Carolina in '98.

      Steele was LB coach at Nebraska from '89-'94. He was also a BIG reason why Tommie Frazier chose Nebraska since he was his lead recruiter.

      I responded to your inquiry in said thread. It's not a superconference, but an annual partnership, similar to B1G/ACC challenge, but will be televised on B1G/Pac-12 Networks since both are FOX co-partnered networks.
