  1. Not sure what more any one could expect? Ended season on a bit of downer, nobody wanted a return trip down south and the SEC. Hope they we will be ready to play, should be a decent matchup.
  2. Multiple reasons I would not want Frost. You did touch on a very important one. He just does not have enough experience with "Head Coach", or as I call em' CEO as their position is much different than "coaching". Bo was finally coming to realize the importance of being a CEO, he just had a few assistants that probably needed to go. All in all, His personality does not mesh real well with being the Head Coach at a major university. wish him good luck
  3. I don't see Bo getting a head job at a very high level program. Not at least for a couple of years. His sideline demeanor and "us" against everyone else does'nt fly at many places. I look for him to gladly take his buyout and move back into a defensive cordinator position, probably in the NFL. I wish him nothing but good luck, he was a bit of a stretch when we hired him. He got the program back some, and I mean some, respect. His sideline antics pretty much sum up his career here however.
  4. totally agree with you. I don't care for Barney but he is probably the "safe" choice to coach the bowl game.
  5. Let's just say that you have a boss like BO who screams at co-workers and acts like a complete idiot. How many of you would stand for it or just piss-pound him one day? For me it would be the latter and I would piss pound him! No one deserves being treated like he treats people on the sidelines. Okay well, maybe Beck. But you notice he IS NOT on the sideline.
  6. Oh those were the good ole days!!!! Wish they could return.
  7. personally I don't want an AD that calls the coach or players out following a game. That to me is unprofessional, he does not have to come out and undermine the coaching staff. When the season is over you then address the coaching situation. What do you want him to do, fire Bo with 1 regular season game left? That is not what Nebraska does. Unless you can lock in a top notch coach for next season be very careful what you wish for.
  8. And the reason you should fire the AD? He has been on the job what 18 months. Bo has to make big changes, not sure he will make it past this season. From what I have read and obviously sometimes that is nothing but gossip, that Eichorst and Bo sat down last year and goals were set. If Bo does not achieve those goals at least Eichorst can then make the move he thinks is necessary. I really don't think we will another game this year. I see us losing to Iowa and then to a SEC team possibly in the bowl game. Arkansas perhaps???
  9. Uhhh, it seems pretty simple really. Just make the DAMN TACKLE. Simply throwing your shoulder into the runner and assuming that is going to be good enough is not going to cut it! Our tackling sucks, every where on the field! D lind, backers and secondary!
  10. Knowing what we or you know now about Bo, would want him as your headcoach? His sideline antics get damn old and this is the crybaby that controls our sideline. I hope he makes some changes in assistants I am just not sure it should not just stop with that. NO MAJOR program is going to hire him for their headcoach with his past antics.
  11. Had high hopes for Beck but he seems clueless on getting a "flow" to the game. Armstrong needs to complete some "sure fire" short passes and then look maybe 20 years downfield. Oh no we launch the 40 -50 yarder continually. I have now decide that Beck needs to move on. Somewhere a high school is looking for an OC or head coach. it is painful watching this guy call a game!
  12. If Ameer is not close to 100% I am not sure we can win this game. Newby and Cross just don't do it for me. Cross will get some tough yards but little chance of a breakaway. Newby can't seem to break any tackles and has speed but is not very elusive. The "highly touted" offense that they kept referring to in the pre-season is just a blur now! Recievers dropping passes, Armstong throwing the ball down field 40 years with a 1/10 chance for a completion. Hoping for the best but worried about today. No time to look at next year BUT, who is going to be our go-to running back? Refer to comments in previous paragraph. We need to do some real recuruiting for a back. Bo Big RED
  13. Sorry, but vegas does not "just throw a number out there"! What oddsmakers do is try to make a line that will draw even money on each team, if they did just "throw" it out there it will be quickly adjusted by the action on the game.
  14. As bad as it is, they were simply stating the truth! The deep throws, poor defensive effort the final 3 quarters is about all one can handle. I have never ever gave up on watching the huskers to the finish of the game but I will be damned saturday was a first of this for me! Now, can I get myself to watch this weeks game?
  15. Eichorst is not going to do anything MID SEASON! The only way that would happen if Bo would have a moment of real collapse and strike a player or something of similiar nature.
  16. I think it'll be tough to keep RG44 for his senior year. We just would need Suh to talk to him. He repeated many times that Bo talked him into staying for his senior year and that was the best choice he has ever made. Gregory is good, damn good, he needs to stay at the very least one more year to mature to the point that he can be a draft impact player
  17. Yes, he is the only player who can have a knee down and then come up and run or pass.
  18. did not about every one of these "no calls" come from the same area and same official???? If so he should be suspended for a game. The game is fast, really fast. Maybe it has passed him up and he needs to retire
  19. I don't want to sound like we should be blaming the officiating in this game on our loss. Our turnovers did that for us. I do have a question for some who may be more in tune with rules and changes to rules. Why was the punt that was downed at the one late in the first half not reviewed? The initial State player made a great play on the ball, he deflects the ball back to the one, the next guy to touch the ball has one foot in the endzone when he comes out of the endzone and downs it at the one. A player who is in the endzone can not slap, deflect or whatever you want to call it back into the field of play. (can he?) The ensuing play we fumbled and state recovers at the 5 and scores just before half! Killer for momentum. Why did our coaches not ask for a review of the punt recovery and downing? They had too see this from the booth on replay. Secondly, starting the second half we punt the ball down to around the state 10, our defender was clearly blocked in the back right at the point of the catch (attack) How is this call missed? INstead they return it to our 40 or so. Lastly, Enuwa running his deep pattern in the 4th quarter when Dennard pulls his right arm down and Quncy probably would have clearly made this catch if not for interference on the play. He has Dennard beat on the route, he may have scored, at the least we would have had a first down and in state territory. Not positive put I think all 3 ot those calls should have involved the same official on all ot them! When the big10 and the refs review this game I hope they call him out on his "lack" of action to make the right call. State also got screwed big time on the "lineman downfield" which was questionable at best. The did however recover to score on the next play. I don't like calling officials out, I believe the "back judge or possibly field judge" was involved in 3 calls or "no calls" that really hurt us. He should feel like a failure when he reviews the tape.
  20. Why the hell did he even try to field the ball? Wind behind their punter and he hits a line drive, it is not going to have backspin in that situation. Last drive, Abdullah gets the first down, takes himself out and we have no plays to try and run the last 1:20 off the clock? We need some of these other running backs to step up when given the chance. Abdullah can't play every down.
  21. thanks for your info, yes the wife was "moved" out last night! I think she will try to "slip" back in today and watch NFL with me however.
  22. Went golfing at noon, got back to town and had a benefit to attend. Wife reminded me I did not set the recorder! Yikes WHAT. Anybody know if ABC shows a replay on Espn later this week or tonight? Huskers did a great job taking care of business today!
  23. Play well on the road! If we do get behind, I just don't want us to "lay down" like we have a few times with this staff. As, coaches reactions and moods DO make a difference. Good Luck Huskers, I have to admit I am really worried about his game.
  24. I have been a "boss" for 30 plus years in my company. I asked my co-workers many many times for input. It helps them buy into the process. All of us can't know everything. This may well give a young defense some confidence in what they are "comfortable executing". Coaches made some admiral moves today. Adjustments at half that worked, re-installing RKIII back into the game. Bo deciding not to just let NW score the TD when we knew time was going to be an issue. Great win, celebrate today back to work tomorrow!
