  1. Ha ha! Last week when Langsdorf tried to be creative with a QB bootleg which went awry Husker fans almost strung him up at the nearest cottonwood. This week he calls three established running plays and Husker fans are again eyeing that cottonwood. It's so freaking stupid it makes me want to literally smack the dumb f'ers that do this. These coaches have no chance of pleasing these people, not a chance. It's not anything to do with what happens on the field. They've got their mind made up already, they probably already had their minds made up in December when their beloved BoBo got canned and they pledged allegiance that they would hate whoever replaced him, as a display of respect and jock-riding love for their beloved nostril flaring jackass.

I got my picks in. Won't matter much, but there is still just a little time for us to make a comeback. I've got a longer road than you do.

  3. I think where a lot of the concern is why aren't the more talented, recruited kids aren't "getting it" or "playing hard" or have the "want-to". That's what I was getting at. As to your other comment. Janovich, Weber, and Gangwish are all good football players too. Yeah they have want to, but all football players should have that. That's the name of the game. If Jano, Weber, and Gangwish had three or four stars beside their name, we would'nt even talk about the "want to" factor as part of their equation. I do think the part about being a Nebraska kid and understanding what we are about around here is important. There's a certain edge there, but I would think all of these guys would adapt that edge at this level. So again, instead of questiong the walk-ons who are out there and kicking ass or if we have "too many", I'm more worried about the three and four star guys we have out there that don't seem to put it all on the line, or the guys that aren't even getting out there at all that had those shiny stars beside their names in high school. Those are the guys that are the issue here.
  4. We say "walk-on" around here as if it's some sort of defining label these guys wear. As if it means anything. It means that some recruiting service didn't find them and probably should have. If they're getting on the field here ahead of three and four star recruits, then somewhere somebody was wrong huh? We need to drop these mathematical formulas for explaining every single thing around this program. I think some of it is ridiculous, personally. You can either play or you can't. Chris Weber had 17 tackles one week and 12 another week. Those tackles came against teams that were full of three and four star guys that were trying to stop him. You belong out there or you don't. The discussion shouldn't be about if we have "too many walk-ons" on the field, the question should be where the hell are guys like Natter, or Newell? Weren't they big time coming out of high school?
  5. We had friends over for dinner at the last minute, (not FB fans) and I was so excited I jumped out of my chair and wacked the ceiling fan above my head. (I can personally guarantee, this had to have hurt like a mother father! I stood up on a chair one time, forgetting the ceiling fan above me, and that sucker caught me on the back of the head! GOTDAYUM that hurt)
  6. As much as losing that game was a bummer, you can't sour that run for me. One of my favorite moments in Husker football in a long damn time.
  7. How many former Nebraska QB's are listed as QB on an NFL roster? Second string or third string QB? There's a reason Husker fans approach offense the way they do. They've never seen it done any other way here and when we've tried, we haven't had an elite passing QB at the helm.
  8. RESPECT to the fans that showed up today and cheered their asses off. Ya'll were as loud as I've heard the place in a long time. RESPECT to the player for fighting their asses off. That Illinois loss could've sent your heart in either direction. You came out fighting. Future is bright fellas. Get healthy and keep working on executing the new systems you're working in. I got a feeling those fans that have been selling the place out for a record number of sellouts aren't going anywhere. This game can be cruel, we've learned some hard lessons this year. No doubt if you kids keep grinding, the day will come when the ball bounces your way.
  9. You must be so proud that the Huskers are now a laughing stock. So embarrassing. But hey, he doesn't make funny faces. Oh no, I can assure you. You are far happier that this coach is losing close games than I will ever be. You and your type on this board have been praying for it. You're comment about "funny faces" says where your focus is. You're still hanging from the low hanging nuts of Bo Pelini. Proof? I thought so. I let go of the former staff, unlike some who let them live rent free in their heads. Times like this, though, I'd take the former staff of GAs and high school coachs over this group of "professionals." Proof? well aside from nearly every comment you make here let me ask you this. In one word, who was your "funny faces" comment referencing. 1 word answer, to that question, that's the challenge before you.
  10. and yet the crowd sounded as loud as I've ever heard them. Hmmmm..........it's too bad not everybody is buying into your bullsh#t, or your story would be a lot easier to tell huh? That's funny, I'm not selling b******t. If you can't handle honesty and have to use ad hominem attacks because you have nothing to bring to the table, then I'm sure there's an echochamber you can go bury yourself in to convince yourself you're right. Honesty? How does Nebraska do in fan support and merchandise sales? Be honest. Haha. Talking about what you wish would happen, or what you think might happen has nothing to do with reality. Reality is reality, and you're out of touch with it because your boy got canned. Why you're not on a Penguin board still stroking his ego is beyond me.
  11. So fire Saban, Bama sucks right? That's the logic being displayed here so that must be your point.
  12. or they saw a team that is a few plays from being nearly undefeated and they think, heck I could be the guy that comes in and helps this team turn those losses into wins. I guess it all depends on how they approach things.
  13. and yet.....players have committed and some even visited today......ho hum.......their worlds must be collapsing all around them too.
  14. and yet the crowd sounded as loud as I've ever heard them. Hmmmm..........it's too bad not everybody is buying into your bullsh#t, or your story would be a lot easier to tell huh?
  15. please don't do this Huskers. I see it happening right now.......don't let it unravel.

  16. There ya go Cethan. TE's are supposed to be strong and physical and able to break tackles. That's the first one you've broke all year, good to see.
  17. hey refs, this game isn't about you. this is bullsh#t. refs have been way too big a part of this thing. how the hell is there a holding on a fifteen yard punt that was in the air for three seconds and died straight to the ground? shut the f#*k up, and stop effecting every aspect of this game. it's ruining college football for me.
  18. good coverage. got to start getting there with these blitzes though
  19. Weber is a freaking stud! Love how that kid plays the game!
  20. I'm buying the beer if we top 300 yards rushing today! where at? I'm down
  21. yeah baby! keep piling on and stuff their run game. Stave gonna be forced to throw the ball more if we can go up by one more td. if we do that, I think we can force some interceptions out of stave. almost had 3-4 of them in first half.
