  1. uuuhhhhhh....did you happen to notice what happened to the blackshirts when Bo replaced Coz? Yea, and we also had four losses. I thought we all wanted to win championships??? We need better O players. Yep, 4 losses that woulda been 6 or 7 if not for some terrific "GAMEPLANNING" on the coaches parts. As far as the 1992 class goes, their #2 all time ranking is based on their success in their 4-5 years at Nebraska. They were not highly tauted at all at the time in February of 92.
  2. I'm sorry, but that Terrence Cody situation is just flat out dangerous and un-healthy, God did not design the human heart to put up with that sh#t. 370 POUNDS!!!???.
  3. Unless of course we're 1-4 or 0-5 going into that game. I am as big of a debbie down I think you will find on this board. But with all due respect there is no way in hell. Hence your screen name? Oh and i agree with you 100%, Memorial Stadium will be rockin!!! no matter what our record it.
  4. Unless of course we're 1-4 or 0-5 going into that game.
  5. Yes sir. Bunch of Texas criminals running a Nebraska play. How ironic.
  6. WRONG. Them doors were shut long before the VaTech incident ever happened and I concur with the previous post to this one As far as Pederson goes, I go back and forth over and over, 1)did he really have intend on destroying Nebraska as it was in order to make them a losing program, or 2)did he really have intend on destroying Nebraska football as it was in order to make it what it aint-like everyone else 3)Pedey had an insanely large ego and wanted to make the changes to "bring Nebraska up to date" so he could say,"see, I did that". I dont know but I'm glad it's over now, probably THEEE most irrelevant 4 years in the history of sports? What I do say 100% is that for the most part, Callahan gave his all, he just didnt have what it takes to be a College HC. And there was one time, late 2006 season, that I was a full Callahan backer. Thru basically 3 seasons, he had shown steady consistent improvement, then his sh**ty decision making got in the way in a couple of losses, that lets' just say it, shoulda been wins, (big 12 game 06 and Auburn cotton bowl). The rest is history.
  7. A couple of things, publicity wise if you would call it, that caught my ear tonight. Larry the Cable guys Memorial Stadium event was on comedy central tonight, on top of the fact that numerous awesome shots were shown of the stadium. And got to hear "The old Nebraska playbook" plug from Chris Berman during the new "The Longest Yard". Just thought it was something to bring up.
  8. Very very nice win for Doc and the guys. Just when this looked like it was in the toilet and they could throw in the towel, they come out with intensity and desire and play very well. It's why I believe Doc is a very good coach. Although they are not having a great year, Oklahoma has a lot of talent. it's a good win.
  9. That was actually said by Jim Nance of the CBS tv broadcast.
  10. Just read some stuff on KSUfans.com. They seem pretty upset over this. Think Osborne should worry about our own home games. They think it's bullsh#t cuz most of their fanbase comes from 2+ hours away (and north platte and kearney are right around the corner ) and that a thursday night game would affect attendence. Also that Nebraska is afraid to have a thursday night game cuz we dont want to ruin our sellout streak. I simply said the Memorial Stadium would sellout at 2am on Christmas morning in a 10 below blizzard against a Division 2 team and how hard can it be to put together 50000 people on a thursday night, hell we'll pitch in with our usual 5-10k.
  11. Berringer is my favorite. Met the guy in person as a kid. CLASS ACT, THE classiest of the players i have had the privelege of meeting. I did like Jamal Lord too. Everyone talks about how bad he was, but i say to this day, give him the O-line and backs that Frazier, Frost and Crouch had, and he's winning a Heisman. He had great running ability even tho he struggled to throw the ball, which was more exposed cuz his career was a heck of a lot more highlighted by losses than the other three.
  12. Nope. Can't say I ever remember playing Alabama for the Nat Championship Was referring to the unfinished business part after losing a close NC game. As far as Alabama, goes, 1971.
  13. And after what happened in Boulder, i think it's time Doc and Connie went out to dinner.
  14. The offense show incredible improvement with a healthy Lee, and we see an offensive scheme similar to 08, Helu is back to his old self, Burkhead remains that solid go to 2, Brandon Kinnie emerges as the big wr threat while Niles continues to flirt with inconsistency, O-line drastically improved. Defensively? Well i'll just say any and all naysayers from 09 or proved wrong and that defense is for real at Nebraska. Defense puts up an incredible 5.5 points allowed per game mark. I saw we walk thru the Big 12, texas our only challenge, but a 24-3 win, but lose a very close and tough low scoring BCS championship game to Bama, 7-3. 13-1, Big 12 Champs, National runner-up, setting the stage for an incredible "unfinished business" season in 2011. Sound familiar?
  15. Turned the corner yes, just happened to run into a light pole on the other side.
  16. Just his way of saying "We decided to take the revenge ass whoopin on saturday afternoon for regional coverage as opposed to national coverage on a Thursday."
  17. Ok, so you can put one of these in . I thought of that once, but I aint got the patience to try to pull that sh#t off.
  18. I used to listen to the radio while watching the game on tv, but Janet and Justin f'd that all up for us . its a lil more effort than one should have to go through to do so, but with my DVR i can stop the game as needed to make the radio broadcast sync up. There seems to be just as big of cushion on the radio side, they just time it out differently with breaks and stuff. It seems to work good enough for me, and I rarely listen to the TV broadcasts. Sounds like a good fix. What's a DVR. No either. I'm just not a technology guy. Is that the thing you can watch cd's in?
  19. I noticed something else in the second link. Oregon has the best recruiting class of all time. Boy, we're all fudged now. Oh wait, Usc had that 4years ago and look where it got them.
  20. Agreed, we can match up with any team in the country. However, we need to learn to BEAT them as well. We matched up well against Va. Tech and Texas, we didn't win though. The bowl game gave hope, but until we play that way week in and week out, I'm not quite ready to buy in to a top 5 spot. (Although I really, really want to) We know how to beat'em. One touchdown, can we get just one touchdown, just one damn touchdown damn it.
  21. I used to listen to the radio while watching the game on tv, but Janet and Justin f'd that all up for us .
  22. Correct, in fact tho he is a sophmore? (mayber junior) he was introduced as a senior on senior night against K-state.
  23. Great, but why the hell can't we have Kent and Gary back. Everything else about Husker football is heading back to the glory days, might as well be the broadcast booth too.
  24. I agree 100% with this, however there is one HUGE difference with the talk of Nebraska, there are a lot of "if"s to go along with the expectations. "If the offense can improve", "if they develop a quarterback" and so on. They're not quite clearly putting Nebraska on the pedastal, but are recogninzing the possibilities. I think it's perfect.
