  1. I wonder if bringing TO along would be a help or hindrance. Since TO is technically not a coach can he even go on a recruiting visit? I know he did some at the end of the 2007 season, but he named himself an interim-coach so he could help recruit during the Coaching Transition. Once Bo's staff was filled, I don't recall hearing of TO playing a large role in recruiting. no. he cannot take recruiting trips because he's not a coach. you are correct though that he was temporarily a coach during the transition so that he could help with recruiting. Hey guys, thanks for clearing that up. I have zero knowledge about who can/can't go on trips.

  3. Maybe he would regret missing out on his family more than playing football.
  4. Coach Pelini needs a policy on this. If you're heart set on doing "the hat thing" and want all of the build-up, hype, and fawning that goes on prior to it, you need to look somewhere else. I HATE it. Why not let him do the hat thing? For the next four, five or maybe even six years, he will be getting the "Team, Team, Team" mantra drilled into his head...why not let him enjoy what he's worked for?
  5. Even men like being close to family.
  6. Already like this kid and he's not even on campus yet
  7. Mobley wasn't accepted as a commit. With Bell we are now full at wr, te, and de(OO is made room for). We don't really have a spot/need for him in the class now. Plus his academics aren't good, there is a reason the PAC took a pass. Maybe we'll sign and place him at Ft Scott JUCO. Officially? Is there going to be fallout from this? If I'm Mobley I'm devastated. I just feel bad for the kid. He waited, he made a sound choice, he was all excited for it, he even announced it to the world - to find out he wouldn't? Recruiting is so messed up. did he even contact the coaching staff before making this announcement?
  8. Kids that grow up in Illinois usually dream of playing in the Big 10. I remember my school's star running back when I was a senior was supposed to have offers from every Big 10 school by the time his season was done (ended up playing fullback at Illinois State, but he was a darn good fullback), but that didn't happen obviously. My guess is it's that this kid heard nothing but Big 10/Notre Dame while he was growing up and still is somewhat leaning in that direction. I grew up in the big ten aswell(Minnesota Golden Gopher) I thought the Big Ten was prime time, till i visited Nebraska and saw what the Big 12 is all about. If it is atmosphere Cooper wants, he should pick NU. Hmmm...Minnesota native, came to NU over Big 10 schools. My guess is that you're either Murtha or Swift. lol jk
  9. Yes, you got a chuckle out of me! LOL! I say that Mizzoo steals Quincy Enunwa if they steal anyone else. It wouldn't surprize me to see them land Corey Cooper also. Perhaps the four star DT Chase Rome from Columbia decides to stay at home with the Tigers. We however, do not steal anyone from them. Regardless, I have no basis for anything said ... just like most of these posts I've read. : ) SheepdogMark Cooper named 4 schools, Missouri isn't one of them. If MU wouldn't take Carter or Terry, they won't take Quincy. Rome grew up in Florida, moved to Missouri later in life and wanted to get out from all reports. Your post makes you seem like a closet MU fan that really has no idea what he's talking about on the recruiting front. I was adding the same "nothingness" to the thread that exists already. I understand theses threads are just jokes ... They are just for fun. Thought I would throw in my crappy "out of no-where" thoughts and see how many people would respond. Looks like I am now a Mizzoo fan ... Next I will be a troll. I was just blowin hot smoke up your ass. How does that feel? That's why I hate these threads. SheepdogMark Solution: Don't read them.
  10. It's probably been stated somewhere above, but this is a truly abysmal game to watch.
  11. IMO, I think Paul spiking the ball had more to do with the flag than him flexing his guns.
  12. I just don't see Bo leaving something that he built to go to tOSU...even if it is his "dream job".
  13. Athletes Athletes Athletes. You bring in guys like Jackson and maybe Cooper and it can never hurt your football team. Cooper and Jackson could quite possibly play either LB or Safety. I think, the way our defense is set up, the only difference between the two is position on the field.
  14. Based on his reaction to these threads, I'm going to guess Sheepdog isn't a fan of the other team look-a-like threads as well.
  15. the university estimate for annual tuition for a full-time, undergrad student is just under $7K. room and board is closer to $8K. you can find this information on the following link: click here and scroll towards the bottom also, i don't feel like finding it again, but i previously found some information on the university website that explains their tuition reimbursement for employees and it is not a blank check. it covers a certain number of tuition hours per year (think it might have been 15 per YEAR). room and board did not seem to be included. i haven't bothered looking up the NCAA rules yet, but it is an interesting question. edited: ok, here's the link to the employee tuition reimbursement info. it is indeed capped at 15 hours per year. click here and scroll to the dependent info Correct.
  16. Could be why they aren't playing as well as we would like. Constantly getting blasted by Suh is bound to rattle a few cages.
  17. It's in good humor with the post titles, if you don't enjoy the posts, don't open them and don't read them. If you don't think other boards did the same thing when BC was fired you're crazy. The point is this is a recruiting forum, and if something could impact recruiting, this is the place to discuss it. What are you talking about? This is a message board....humor has NO place here!!!
  18. Is this better or worse than before?
  19. Regardless of where he goes, I like the way he handling all of this.
  20. Good luck to you Pete, you seem to have a good head on your shoulders.
  21. Now that would be something. It would be interesting to see how it would fare at the college level. The A-11 offense is not a legal formation in college, thus no one could run it. I didn't know that, thanks for the info.

  23. Plus Carl always seems to be mentioned by recruits, even if he isn't their head recruiter. Which tell me he must have his ear to the ground out there and knows the lay of the land pretty well. In the last two years alone we've signed Quincy Enunwa, Joshua Mitchell, Eric Martin, Lazarri Middleton, Dejon Gomes, Dijon Washington, JT Kerr and Taylor Martinez. I'd say the coaches are doing just fine in Cali. These two haven't signed, not trying to be an a$$ but recruiting season isn't over yet.
