  1. Start prepping to pour one out for Inside the NBA.
  2. I don't remember which show it was, but one of the local morning shows made the point that Bolt's philosophy on midweek games was crafted from all his time in the SEC: they used midweek games as a way to find/build depth and experiement with rotations and batting orders while relying on the SOS of their conference to build resumes.
  3. Because Bolt doesn't treat midweek games like they count; he treats them as glorified scrimmages.
  4. Send them to College Station to put them out of their misery.
  5. Trying to say a ghost runner was stealing usually led to a fight.
  6. Good. Now move the student section down into the middle of East Stadium.
  7. It blows my mind that Creighton is 11-0 in midweek games and is currently not making the Big East tournament, whereas Nebraska sucks in midweek games, and just moved up(!) in the RPI after last night.
  8. Consequential is a difficult term to wrap ones head around, because it can both be framed as a positive or a negative. Johnson got passed and signed the Civil Rights Act of '63, one of the most consequential pieces of legislation in our country's history, but Vietnam ruined his presidency and all the positives his Great Society brought. Reagan was a steady hand after the political and economic turmoil of the 70s, but his reformation of the economy, tax code and unification of religious political entities and the Republican party is immensely consequential, given our current political climate. Clinton oversaw the last real economic boom we've had, and W. got us involved in virtually a second Vietnam. My answers: - Johnson - Eisenhower - Obama - Johnson
  9. Yea, kinda think I'm off the Boltwagon at this point.
  10. I have very little confidence in this team in midweek games at this point.

    NFL 2024

NFL approves the XFL kickoff for next season.
  12. It has some high spectacle shots, but yea, it's much more of a character-driven film than probably needs to be in IMAX format.
  13. Just hire Frank Solich so we can fully get rid of the curse.
  14. I kind of think that yesterday indicated that the political side might be a bit unbearable.
  15. Legit got a laugh out of me. Bruce would be great as a temporary AD; at least until we can find someone more permanent.
  16. It's a temporary problem that is indicitive of a deeper one. The job has been open for 7 months, with little-to-no movement to fill it. This 1000%.
  17. Trev alludes to a the lack of a President and lack of urgency to find one at Nebraska in an On3 interview.
  18. Trev's not beholdened to anyone at the university anymore; if it's truly something that bothered him enough to leave, and if he cares as much for the university as people think he does, then maybe he needs to be the one up to the challenge.
  19. He may not have the power to assist in fixing what is broken, nor have the trust in the people that do.
  20. *Gesticulates wildly at the Governor's office*
  21. Bruce Rasmussen until the leadership at UNL gets figured out. Then, maybe Ed Stewart? John Cook gets a look when he's ready to be done with the volleyball team.
  22. That's the $64,000 question, but I'm guessing there's a few Rs and Ds behind their names.
