Chernobyl is, easily, the best television series I have watched in the last five years. Its powerfully bleak true story is well written and impeccably well acted by an amazing cast and crew. I highly, highly recommend both it, and the podcast that accompany it.

@Cdog923 I haven't seen episode five just yet (my wife works evenings and we're watching it together, so we'll probably see it Friday or Saturday).
However, after listening to the Chernobyl podcast (through episode 4), I'm going to assume no. I'm guessing the directors used character to represent the dangers of working on the roof and the likelihood that many of the men who helped clear it were injured or put at severe radiation risk. It could also be a true story, but not one they felt they a) had time to tell or b) thought was overly relevant to the bigger story.
