  1. Can he just walk on for a semester, or does the "ban" UCF put on him last for a full year?
  2. I've always thought that if you pair the '08 Offense with the '09 Defense, Nebraska is in the discussion for the national title.
  3. This seems like one of the no brainers; you have one of the statistically most successful QBs in school history and a guy who set a lot of those passing records just a few years before.
  4. There's a little bit, but the way they have been playing, there no reason they shouldn't be favored over at least half of their remaining games. They're favored tonight against Wisky.
  5. Since it’s the offseason, I’d like to try something; I did this a few years ago at a different forum and had some success with it. I’m going to introduce voting for the All Pelini Team. We’ll look at each positions and choose an all star team based on players who started a majority of the time or had their largest contributions at Nebraska under Coach Pelini, with number of games started being the tiebreaker. For example: Joe Ganz was recruited by and spent 4 years at Nebraska under Bill Callahan. However, a majority of his impact was as a starting QB under Bo Pelini. Therefore, he is slotted for voting under Team Pelini. Positions will be based on an 11 personnel package. Therefore, when it comes that time, you’ll be voting for 1 RB, 1 TE and 3 WRs. All stats and accolades will be from Huskers.com and Sports Reference. Voting for each position will be open for a week, after which results will be tallied. Our first position is QB. You may vote for 1. Joe Ganz: 16 starts Passing: 381/585 (65.1%), 5,125 yards, 44 TDs, 18 Ints Rushing: 115 attempts, 341 yards (3 yards/carry), 8 TDs Honors and Awards: Holds 23 Nebraska School Records NU Single-Game Record Holder for Passing Yards (510), Total Offense (528) and Passing TDs (7) Nebraska Season Record Holder for Passing Yards, Pass Completions and Total Offense Second at Nebraska in Career Passing Yards and Touchdown Passes 2008 First-Team Academic All-Big 12 Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week (2007 vs. Kansas State; 2008 vs. Kansas State) 2008 Tom Novak Trophy Winner 2008 Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award Watch List Four-Time Big 12 Commissioner's Spring Academic Honor Roll (2005, 2006, 2007, 2008) Three-Time Big 12 Commissioner’s Fall Academic Honor Roll (2005, 2007, 2008) 2008 Brook Berringer Citizenship Team 2004 Nebraska Offensive Scout Team MVP Zac Lee: 12 starts Passing: 189/324 (58%), 2,250 yards, 14 TDs, 10 INTs Rushing: 120 attempts, 245 yards, 1 TD Honors and Awards: First-Team Academic All-Big 12 (2009, 2010) Big 12 Commissioner’s Fall Academic Honor Roll (2008, 2009, 2010) Big 12 Commissioner’s Spring Academic Honor Roll (2008, 2009, 2010) Brook Berringer Citizenship Team (2010) Scout Team Offensive MVP (2007) Cody Green: 4 starts Passing: 66/122 (54%), 657 yards, 5 TDs, 3 INTs Rushing: 68 att, 254 yards, 3 TDs Honors and Awards: 2010 Big 12 Commissioner’s Fall Academic Honor Roll 2010 Brook Berringer Citizenship Team Taylor Martinez: 43 starts Passing: 575/962 (60%), 7,258 yards, 56 TDs, 29 Ints Rushing: 585 att, 2,975 yards, 31 TDs Honors and Awards: Manning Award Watch List (2013) Davey O’Brien Award Watch List (2013) Walter Camp Award Watch List (2013) Nebraska Team Captain (1 of 6, 2013) Nebraska Team Captain (1 of 5, 2012) First-Team All-Big Ten (Coaches, 2012) Second-Team All-Big Ten (Media, Phil Steele, 2012) Chicago Tribune Silver Football Finalist (1 of 3, 2012) AT&T National Player of the Week (vs. Southern Miss, 2012, vs. Ohio State, 2011) Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week (So. 6. Iowa always seems to bite Nebraska, but I think Wisky is there for the taking this year, as long as Miles can keep Wisky's secondary options after Happ in control. Illinois is a home-home, so you could be right there.
  7. 10-4 would be beating Wisky twice and Minnesota on the road. I accounted for losses to Michigan, OSU, Iowa and Maryland.
  8. He's more than earned the benefit of the doubt.
  9. I would be all for that as well. Schools should have to play by strict academic standards as well. I think all we need to do is decide on how to pay players, and we'll have fixed NCAA Division 1 football.
  10. That would involve centralizing all scheduling with the NCAA and forcing conferences to play by the same rules in terms of number of conference games and scheduling of FCS teams. I'm all for it.
  11. There's 14 regular season games left, and Nebraska could conceivably go 10-4 in those games. If they're sitting at 21-10 (12-6 in the conference) going to the conference tournament, they've got a really good chance at making the Dance regardless of if they're 5th or 6th in the conference.
  12. At first I thought Hollow Knight was an expansion/sequel to Shovel Knight. It looks good, though. Another single player game I've been really into the past few months is Stardew Valley. It's Harvest Moon meets 2-D Zelda, with a crafting element to it. It ate a ton of my time right after I got my Switch.
  13. There's not much to screw up if they go 5 P5 champions plus 3 at large, with the caveat that an unbeaten G5 team automatically gets the 8 seed (if they aren't ranked higher).
  14. This is true; the title game would have at least had 2 vs. 4 last year had a certain someone not used all the luck in the world to break up the party.
  15. FCS has had a playoff for decades, and managed to get the two best teams in the title game this year. There's too much money wrapped up in bowl games and the CFB playoff to ever reset it to something that is both fair AND makes sense.
  16. What are you guys watching instead of the title game tonight? I've got old Top Gear specials on Amazon going right now.

      I read a boom.

  17. I will never not +1 Cap.
  18. Not if there's a clause for an undefeated G5 team to automatically be included.
  19. Breath of the Wild and Mario Odyssey for me. I love Metroidvania games, though.
  20. Of course it's going to be that. RTDB Guy is going to have a coronary the first time Frost lines up in Shotgun/4 wides on 3rd and 2.
