  1. I thought Langsdorf was a sure bet to improve Tommy's game? In all honesty he looks a thousand times worse this year if we're going to talk throwing motion. #backfoot
  2. Wow. Sorry you have such jerks for neighbors. Great to see you rescued those two so good on you.
  3. Confirmed: New ‘Force Awakens’ Trailer On Monday, Official Poster On Sunday
  4. That really sucks for Russell. Baez is good. I just think Russell is slightly better on defense. Yes the first thing I thought about was what he (Addison) brings defensively. He and Starlin have a good chemistry out there also. I'm excited for Baez though.

  8. I guess I don't buy the move to the B1G as being the catalyst for a downward trend in recruiting or making it somehow harder to recruit great players to Nebraska. The changes in scheme (starting with Bill Callahan) or in Bo Pelini's case while being defensive minded the lack of him and his staff creating an identity offensively is what hampered recruiting. Now we're changing scheme offensively again in that we're clearly going to be a passing oriented team. Also I think having a coach and staff that can recruit and truly sell Nebraska to the best true football players in the nation regardless of stars to want to come and play for them has been an issue. You still have to be good at getting good players to commit to come play for you. I am not saying Pelini or Callahan for that matter didn't land any top recruits. We've landed some great players here and there in the last 7-8 years but haven't consistently put good teams together and part of that at least has to do with how we've recruited. I just don't feel not being able to play Oklahoma or Texas and leaving the Big 12 has hurt our recruiting as much as other things but that's just my opinion.
  9. Against good teams, his offense wilted. I'll never forget that USC game. I thought Callahan was waaay to conservative as far as throwing the ball I remember especially with all the success Zach was having that year in the air. We had no chance from the get go.
  10. The only thing this article made me think of was Jamal Turner. Sometimes I wonder 'what if' he had not switched to wr where he obviously has been pretty quiet somehow this year despite being fully healthy and especially head scratching when Riley vocally seemed very high on him. Maybe he could have been a better quarterback than receiver. We'll truly never know. We sure could use the depth right now at that position. Last year as well.
  11. Riley's offenses historically are anything but power football/establishing the run first. As he said he believes in a successful passing game properly setting up the run game. Pac-12 football essentially except this is the B1G. Really the true question is can he get the right players here to run his offense and be a success doing it in this league?
  12. For some crazy reason despite their record and current rank (7th AP, 4th Coaches poll) what if Nebraska could at least put up a fight against MSU? Even though they (MSU) have looked sluggish at times this year they're still fairly good. If we could give them a game for me that would a) be awesome and b) mean a lot. My gut just says this team actually doesn't get blown up by MSU or Northwestern and gives them a ball game. I could be wrong but this is just what my gut tells me. I see that MSU's currently ranked 56th in overall defense. Better than ours yes and definitely not up to par with what they've had in the past but they're still a top 10 team. Playing well against them might open up even the stingiest of anti Riley supporters eyes. Probably mine too. One can hope.
  13. I say give Riley seven years and see if Pelini's name is still coming up in these forums. Hell no.
  14. Who is our top RB? If you're talking about Newby I know he's had several drops already but it's the yac that you would expect more of from a starter. I still strongly feel/think that Mikale Wilbon needs to be out there and figure into the passing game somehow. While he only has 2 catches they've resulted in 28 yards (against BYU) and average out to 14 yards per catch and showed early on his potential for getting yac. I am beyond baffled as to why his number isn't being called. He potentially could really add another dimension to a passing game and an offense that needs it.
  15. After 6 games our average as far as points allowed is 23.8.
  16. You are so wrong IDK why I even responded to your post. It's fans like you that are hurting this school. If you don't believe me go look up Keyson Jr's comments about how much he loved it here except for the ignorant fans in the stands that were bitching about MR and how he should be fired. That kid is more knowledgeable about how to build a college program than a lot of the supposed "greatest fans in college football." I feel like I just got lectured by my grandma and (see the bolded) you didn't have to btw... You chose to. It's football man. I didn't call Riley the devil or say he was a horrible person. Lighten up. I apologize for that. No worries AF. I apologize as well.

  18. Given his past success at the college level, Michigan's success on the field this year under his guidance and that recruiting class he's put together of course it can be too early to assume but he isn't doing anything in his first year to make you not believe he isn't going to be a success I think that's pretty evident. Compared to last years team under Hoke I'd say he with ease is already proving it was a great hire.
