  1. That really is one of the best wayst to describe gravity. If you think of space and time as a blanket, than any object with mass set on top of that blanket creates a "dent" in. If you were to put a smaller object on the blanket it would fall down the slope to the larger object.
  2. 0x0 is undefined, just saying. Ouch, man...! That's a 15-yard penalty. oh, f#*k me! I fixed it to what I meant.
  3. 0x(1/0) is undefined, just saying.
  4. I've never heard about it and I'm a member of this board, so I know everything.
  5. How about the incident in the basement of the Cornhusker, then? Explain I don't know the details, only that "it" happened. Da Skers probably knows all about it, I'd rather not dive into it as there are a number of people within the athletic department that read this board and know who I am. There's a name for what you're doing here but I think I can only say it in the woodshed. It involves a male fowl and the word tease.
  6. The one I wanted with text loaded to slow so I went with this one. It ain't much but it gets the job done.
  7. Well to be fair didn't the guys that discovered the helix for DNA come up with the idea while on LSD?
  8. That game was awesome. yep. up 66 to whatever, and we're still slingin it around with 5 wides. Talk about goin down swingin..... If I may keep the thread off topic a little longer, I believe this is the game where the KSU fans were chanting K S U and the student section would finish it with SUCKS! Gyod I love that.
  9. The difference is that you've had science classes and engineering courses. The people who willfully misinterpret/misrepresent the meaning of the word theory probably have significantly less exposure to those things. Everyone should have been exposed to those tenets at some point in public or private education though. If they weren't then that is a gross failure on their educational system. If they were and ignored them, then that is really disheartening. I guess it's just one of those things I am never going to understand. I would figure someone with even the most rudimentary understanding of science would grasp the concept that it's more than just some "theory" a guy proposed. I feel like an old man now, but I'm truly worried about the future of our society with things like this and the crap that's going on with text books in Tejas.
  10. As do I. Oh the things I could do if my voice was able to echo in a thicket of trees.
  11. That right there is a shocking display of ignorance. In every science class or engineering course I've had it's pretty much understood that all theories and laws come from testable, observable, and repeatable results. The latter being the most important for anyone to take you credibly.
  12. After the first 15 minutes there was no point in debating anymore. Ham's logic was you weren't there so you don't know. There is no possible way to debate that. If you're going to throw all logic out the window and say that the laws of the universe don't apply if you weren't there then the debate is over at that point. All I would have to say is that god is one hell of an architect, physicist, biologist engineer, and construction manager because that was an awful lot he got done in 6 days. Just placing light sources and then placing their photons across the universe is an unfathomable task in and of itself, especially considering it must travel billions of light years to propagate on it's own.
  13. Anyone know where one could find a replay?
  14. This was my view of it this morning. Not quite as pretty but I thought it was impressive.
  15. Kenny Mayne says he got yelled at for standing up at the Super Bowl. Must have been a lot of Husker fans there.

  16. Blake McClain looks like he will shift just 2 days after committing. Other than that.. no good or bad surprises are expected really. They wouldn't be surprises if they were expected now would they?
  17. I've wondered about the tap outs too, but ever more concerning is watching guys get blown off the ball. Which happened when last year? Show me one player other than Randal that was consistently blown off the ball. Thad really wasn't even bad I'm just 90% sure that's who you're going to use. He improved through the season and held his own on the overwhelming majority of plays throughout.
  18. Personally, I don't think there's any doubt about it. They destroyed us. It seemed like they had 15 guys on the field. Very much 2000 Ravens like. 85 Bears I don't know, I was four years old and didn't watch Da Bears. I think it's even more exceptional given how favorable the game is to receivers and QBs now. That was my biggest worry for Seattle, is they would get screwed on some PI calls and Peyton could have his way after that.
  19. Seriously wtf? I wonder if we hadn't put ourselves on probation first what would the NCAA have done?
  20. I could tell Bruno's band wasn't actually playing, but I figured the Chili Peppers were. Oh well, it's still not air guitar when you're playing along on a real guitar even if no one can hear you.
  21. I guess I am not sure why the tap out thing bothers so many guys. Watch the NFL and you will see RB do it all the time. Back in TO's day he ran plays into the game with WR, so they rotated a lot and got a blow basically every other play in a lot of cases. I've actually paid a lot more attention to tapping out now, and even the best players in the league will sit out in the red zone if they need a blow.
  22. I feel bad for em, but with the way Bronco's fans talked them up I can't feel too bad. I told my buddies when it was 8-0 that we were about due for a "sh**ty" Super Bowl since the last 4 or 5 have been so good. I still thought it was really entertaining, Denver choked and Seattle soared at just the right times to keep me interested the whole time.
