I dont understand our openning drive. Why are they messing around passing? Punch them in the mouth from the beginning and make them think they cant win. Run the damn ball!

Going to be interesting to see who we fill up with. Remember there is still the "silent commit" from a few months back. Lol

Is there really a need to open spots up? At this point i am actually concerned that we may be unable the fill the open scholies we have with high quality recruits. We have what? 14 spots still open, at least. Just doesnt feel like there are too many kids beating our door down right now. These super programs do it to bring in five stars and big time recruits. Are we going to sell our integrity, drop a promise to a kid, for another project three star? Doesnt make any sense for us to do it.

Maybe they were just there to watch the game, no need to overreact yet. Hell, if i got free sideline tickets to a game i would go too.

Watching stanford last night made me yearn for the old days, smash mouthrunning, aggressive defense. Those things together seem to equiize talent a bit. Oh and peat looked good for afrosh

I realized i no longer cringe everytime TM drops back to pass, nor does my blood pressure skyrocket because of the impending interception. We still have a chance in the big 10 race The big ten, as a whole, sucks this year. NW is our best rep at this point...... The youth on d may be just what we needed Martin shouldnt see the bench until we are up by at least 21 Abdullah/heard/rex=best backfield in the big, if not the country (still want heard on the field more)

I think we are really starting to see why green left, he may never have seen the field behind abdullah and heard unless he redshirted. As it is it seems like heard needs to see the ball more. Good problem to have!

Dont get me wrong, rex is awesome one of my favorite huskers ever, but i think abdullah has shown that he is truely a special back. He is only a soph with limited experience and he is ripping teams apart. He is fast, hard to bring down and has good vision. I cant wait to see what he does for us over the next 3 years. Ps I agree that Heard looks pretty special too, great 1-2 punch for the next few years.

I don't think there is anything wrong with the nickel or the dime, the only problem is the QB has time to read a newspaper and smoke a cigarette while waiting for his receivers to get open. Either the d-line needs to get some penetration, or someone needs to blitz. Seems like we don't use the blitz until the 4th quarter with the game on the line. Maybe Zaire will change a bit of that with his supposed blitzing power. If the whole philosophy of the dline not penetrating is that they are supposed to contain the QB, how well is that working out for us? Mobile QBS kill us running around the field. I don't think they need to change philosophy, just be willing to make adjustments to it before the game is already lost.

Look ez, no need for getting personal. I am simply stating facts. What is our history with 5 stars the last 4 years( heck go back 10)? Honest question. We have landed one or two. Compare that to USC or LSU. USC has 4 or 5 this year alone. I think history speaks for what the 5 stars typically want, and typically (in recent history) it isnt us. Not sure where you live, but i can tell you that here in michigan, nebraska really isnt taken very seriously. We are a school with good tradition and a good history. But, we are kind of a has-been program, not very relavent. It is what it is. Everytime one of these big-time prospects mentions the huskers everyone gets all ramped up that he is coming here, loves it, gives it a 10. Then the kid picks a different hat. I want it to change. For it to do that we need to become nationally recognized again. Until that happens we are going to continue to be another hat on the table. I think we are headed in the right direction fwiw, and love the class so far. Would just love to close the deal with one of these bih fish for once.

Look, i would love to be wrong, but as recent history tells us we just dont have a realistic shot at these 5 star kids unless there is legacy or they are from nebraska. Ourprogram isnt at the level yet. To most of these kids we are a nice story from the midwest with great facilities. However, to the average 5 star we are an afterthought. You can say its not true but deep down you know it is.

Not coming here, its reality. If he isnt going yo USC it will be LSU. Unless both fill up before he decides. Even then they will probably make room for him. We win the big10 this year and get to a BCS bowl and then we will have a shot with kids like this. Until then we are not even really in the running.

I wish they wouldnt have released these so early, think it will take away the shock effect. The unis are pretty cool, i like the helmets.

But neither game is in the big house. I think they play at ND this year. Hopefully this means we wont lose this one to michigan and that he is visiting the home teams. I live in michigan, we cant lose any more recruits to them, im tired of hearing about it.

I wonder if wewould have offered him straight up as a cb, instead of wr, if that would have tilted it in our favor. Sorry to see him go, looks like a lot of talent. At leasthe didnt land elsewhere in the big10

I just cant believe anyone would choose arkansas right now with their instability. Of course psu is having a great class too, so maybe these kids dont pay attention to things like that

I would love to get him, just dont see it happening. Maybe we can hope our impressive d class is being noticed by some of these other kids though.....

Imagine if we can land willis and vanderdoes. Add them to our already impressive defensive recruits and we could have a dominant d for a few years with this group. Hopefully our current commits can convince those two of this. Could be special.

I agree, i really like this kids film. I think he looks like an actual qb. Not an athlete project. Come on man, commit already!

According to 247 he got an offer, now with that and kinkaid apparently not coming to brw, hopefully he accepts.
