It's always easier to shoot the messenger, eh? There are a ton of stories out there about Taylor, his ego, and his parents. I've said for 2 years, dating back to when Taylor and his folks ticked off our coaches during Taylor's OV. Digging up more would likely cause a hornets nest, and I'll leave Dirk to stirring that one up. But just realize that not everything is sunshiney that comes out of our program. It just so happens that a writer finally took the time to point out what quite a few others have said for a while about Taylor. What did they do?

So because he is being compared to him means he has to act like him in every way? If Eric Crouch was not a leader, why does that mean Taylor Martinez can't be a leader at this stage of his career?

he was dejected, disappointed in himself and the game. maybe he did not want to be in the presence of his teammates because he felt like he let them down and he took it personal. nonetheless, he is just a freshman. that is a lot of stress and pressure, and he was not alone in the losing effort. The game wasn't over yet. We were down 14 pts. with 1.5 quarters left. Ya I can see if we were getting blown out or after the game he is acting like this, but when the game is still in the balance you don't throw a pity party. You encourage you team and do your part to ensure a victory. Hell, he could have been put back in the game at some point, who knows. If Cody Green can put on a headset and listen to his coach, Martinez can too...

I have to agree with JTrain and Zoogies on this topic. If he is a quiet person, that is fine. But why does he have to isolate himself from the team. There is no reason he should not be huddling with the offense during timeouts or when the D is on the field. Like I said all I could think of while reading the article was video of Albert Haynesworth during the Redskin's first game...

We definitely have a good chance of going undefeated from here on out. And SDSU did? Everyone knows how to stop our offense now thanks to them. Will Muschamp even said they used the same defense SDSU did, two people spying on Martinez the whole game. Every team will do this now, guaranteed. We are going to have top try some diff. plays if we want to be successful.

Ya, he will start on Sat. If we play anything resembling what happened on Sat., you guys will kill us. Yes, from what I have seen, you guys have a very good offense. Its a positive that we have a good secondary to shut down the pass. Like you saw this weekend if you watched, our DL does not get much pressure on the QB so he will have lanes to run if we don't change something on defense. Gilbert had over 70 yards rushing Sat. after only having 14 this rest of the season. If we play like we did against KSU, it should be a close game. I'm not expecting to hold OSU to no points. You guys will put points on the board, our offense much match it. Another positive in NU favor, and I know this sounds incorrect but its at OSU. Our team has stated publicly they enjoy playing on the road better than at home. Here's to a great game
