That's true. But unless he's dug about 8 diamonds in the rough out of that roster, I think even their fans are going to be skeptical. They lost Reesing, Meier, Briscoe, which has been literally most of their offense for the last 2 years. But who knows.
I gave up gauging teams by what they lost from last season a long time ago. I don't think Mangino was asleep at the recruiting wheel, he just peaked with that group. A good coach can get a lot out of less-talented players, like Snyder did last year when he came within a game of winning the North with a devastated team.
what you lose isn't everything...but it is a good indicater of what you will look like...
