  1. We have the talent to win but not enough talent to overcome a deficit. We need better athletes at every phase.
  2. We're going to win with tommy and when I say win, I mean championships
  3. Armstrong. Fuller is another project when it comes to throwing the ball. He is electric but with Q, Bell, Turner, Westerkamp, and Allen I'd rather have a guy who is going to be a serious threat with his arm along with his feet. As we've seen, we could use that extra threat. Plus, it's not like we have a NFL qb coach who can turn Fuller into a bonafide quarterback.
  4. Wait til armstrong or fuller is playing qb. The offense will be more dynamic
  5. Because he has some pretty decent flaws and a whole lot to learn and yet he still manages to crank out 9-10 wins. I'll use some of his own words. "Bo does some good things and some not so good things but you can see how good of a football coach he can be when he executes". I'm looking at him as a raw/talented coach right now. The man has all the tools necessary to succeed. Its going to be about learning for him. His recruiting has gone up each year and all he is missing is the "Big game" and one minor slip up. Give him time and to develop his depth. Recruiting is the key here. Our class is small but I love who he is bringing in and quite frankly I don't see a player on that list (as of now)who won't play.
  6. The way I look at it. LSU flat out told him that he was not worthy of their scholarship. It's a slap in the face and they doubted him. No matter what position a kid wants if he is a stud/superstar in your state, you offer him so that at least nobody in conference takes him. LSU didn't do it, Nebraska did. It reminds me of Ameer last year. All of the sudden they came crawling back realizing they didn't do their homework. If that was me I'd tell them to F off.
  7. One of the biggest rating travesties this year. Under Armor Game but a 3 Star? a complete joke.
  8. He's a 5.8-5.9 kind of guy if you ask me. Especially with the type of year he had.
  9. He also plays linebacker, he is a physical specimen and has the build of Eric Martin. He could be the next special teams star and he has great speed for his size. Beck wants the full back as a big play option. Plus lawler might come with him
  10. My guess is that Cody felt the staff plays favorite with Taylor and knows Brion isn't getting any opportunity. I don't think Cody was cool with Taylor and I think he tweeted about Taylor's inefficiencies at one point as well. Seems to be some friction there
  11. The three running backs still need more touches. wheel routes, screens, pass in the flats. just let their speed and athleticism do all the talking til they get the finer detail down.
  12. If I had to pick a few players that Fuller could be a lot like it would be Pat White (which would be awesome) or D. Robinson. I'd much rather have a Pat White type but obviously Fuller comes with a few less ticks on that 40. I want him just as bad as the next guy but I'd prefer a more balanced prospect at Qb like Tommy.
  13. I feel the exact opposite way. I'm not sold on Tommy all that much but Fuller is a game changer...I want him touching the ball every single play. Well his feet make him a game changer. Tommy plays against much better competition on a week to week basis. I also think he's a better passer then Fuller too. Fuller can run and might be even faster than Taylor but I see something about Tommy that Fuller doesn't show on tape. He has savvy and understands his offense that looks to be more intricate than Fullers. He looks more like a quarterback than an athlete taking snaps.
  14. I'm going to be honest, if Fuller comes he better be open to playing Wr because I don't see him beating out Tommy. Tommy is the real deal at QB.
  15. There is a reason Bo is going after Bullard, McMullen, Rose, Jones, Zaire, Diggs (Last year Santos). All these players fit the mold on negating mobile Qbs. Mobile Qbs just run away from Lavonte.
  16. He's a humble guy who leaves it out there on the field. Whether playing or not, he's a guy you want on your team
  17. Yeah, when I look back, his play calling wasn't terrible but it still wasn't all that great. I haven't given up on Ciante and I do not think he is terrible. He still looks like he's thinking out there. Once he becomes confident he will be good.
  18. Coaching- It's hard to pin point why Nebraska has a hard time getting up every week. Beck called a terrible first half but it got better as the game went on. Our staff does a terrible job of managing their roster. The fab 3 need to be getting 20 carries or be in 20 snaps a game. Rex is completely worn out and our staff is stubborn. Diamond Formation works coaches... use it. Our Wr's were a complete mismatch for Northwestern and they figured that out way too late. Defensively, they were simply gassed. Yes, they did not respond after the touchdown that put us only down by 3 but I don't think they played terrible considering NW can play. Raymond ruined Evans. I'm not calling for Bo's head but these kind of games are starting to creep in the minds of fans and it won't be forgotten. Besides, a game or two out of the last few years, this team hasn't been flat out beaten but they always makes sure to play themselves as well. For a staff that only knows the words techniques, fundamentals, and focus they lack those three the most. Yet, there is still youth and inexperience all over this roster. The only question is, when are we going to put it all on the field at once? This is going to be Pelini's knock if you will. Recruiting is going to be vital in the next year or two. I have faith in this staff and the players but both need to realize that coaching and playing flat is inexcusable. Oh and the option game...just let it go until you get a Qb who has experience running it. ( not a knack on taylor, just a reality) Players- Baker played great for most of the game. Lavonte played well but got sucked up a few times but he gets a pass( just a tad). Cassidy played well until he got off his assignment and did not help on the 81 yard play. The O-line looked methodical and it's looking like A-rod is going to be Mr. inconsistent. Rex is running on E and Aaron, Ameer, and Braylon need more touches. There were a few drops by the Wide outs. Still, they had fight in them and they should've been the game plan on O. Turner not playing is a crime. Screw the b.s. coach speak. There is much more to it than that. Marlow is playing great and looks like everything is coming together for him but Turner still needs to play. More KYLER REED PLEASE. What happened to Rome? It seems that Ankrah's corner on the line is irrelevant since little production comes from that side. My favorite player is becoming Ben Cotton. That guy is the toughest SOB on our team and if I have to go to war, I'm taking him. Taylor played a great game. He's getting better and man, I don't think he realizes his potential if he could just clean up some of his throwing mechanics. Still, he threw well and played gutsy and hard. It seems that when the stakes get higher, he plays on a near elite level.
  19. I would take that also, I like Gray's potential a lot. I just think Beaver is a bit better get and IF both are wanting I just wonder if we make room for both. Or better yet, if another stud like Bullard wants in. Though I do think we are a little low on depth at DB, I think we will only end up taking 2 considering the fact that Charles Jackson will be the third as long as he gets done what he needs to do. Jackson, Seisay, and Gray is ideal but you definitely take Rios if wanted in. I think Seisay and Grey are ours and we have a terrific shot at Rios
  20. I think where people are going with this is that the fab 3 should be used how Oregon uses their rbs. Putting a few at slot, on screens, more diamond, forget their youth and put them in space and let their instincts and ability take over. This is the perfect week to let them break out and allow them to grow up.
  21. Yeah I think he will set himself up well for next year.
  22. Contention? If Nebraska wins out and he continues to run for over 100 yards with 2 scores a game, should he at least be a name on the list? I think so. Now I'm not saying he wins it or comes close but I think he's put himself up there with the best rbs in the country.
  23. I believe that the hooters in long beach opens up early for the games. But I'm not sure if that's the part of SoCal you live in
  24. Or Andrus. Have to get either, would love to get both but that may be asking too much. We have a chance at both of them. I do in fact think we end up with Andrus. Ronnie it all kind of depends. The biiggest thing going against landing both of them, is that they want to both play RT. Ronnie has even came out and said this, and how it kind affects his thinking. I am sure either would play LT, but they both have came out and said they want to be RTs. A petty thing to you and I but pretty big factor for these kids. Still see NU landing 1 of the 2. Its the opposite, they both want to play LT
