  1. On a personal level I don't think there is anything better than watching a guy punish defenders with his running style, but I think that the speed and quickness kind of back that will be most successful in our program under Frost going forward
  2. Improve their strength of schedule, or honestly just to shut everyone up that points out how ridiculous their OOC schedule is year after year. But mostly, I just hate how the SEC acts high and mighty but never have to deal with how much true cold weather affects your game. I feel like they dont understand how you have to be able to adjust to the cold. You know the kind of weather that when the old timers go outside they say "Now this is football weather".
  3. Yea, heaven forbid they miss their rivalry game with Western Carolina
  4. Only because it's still pretty warm, if it was November there wouldn't be a chance they'd come up to Wisconsin
  5. We need Minnesota to continue to progress. It will go along way for the BIG if the west becomes more competitive. Maybe one day we will have two teams in the playoffs
  6. The offensive scheme that Les Miles used in the past suggests that short of a old school triple option style team, there really isn't a better fit for him
  7. True, but when he left Fort Scott he went from HC to something like recruiting analysis at Indiana for Kevin Wilson
  8. Do you think Sims will be at MoSo very long? He really seems like the kind of guy who wants to climb to the highest level possible and if he has any success at all he's going use that to climb up the ladder. Not saying thats a bad thing or I blame him for trying to better himself and his career, I just don't see him really changing the culture there, since he will probably be a short timer. But I could definitely be wrong and he could end his career there.
  9. Sims is a jack wagon, but the dude has been successful at the JuCo level. I remember very well when he coached at Fort Scott. I had several buddies play for him there. He treated his players and assistant coaches like crap and threw fits if he didn't get his way. Bo caliber tantrums. He got ran out of Fort Scott because he freaked out and started cussing out umpires and other fans at his kids little league baseball game. IMO he should have stayed at the JuCo level, and he won't have the level of success he's used to now that he's at the D2 level because he won't be able to get the quality of athletes he had at JuCo. Plus Missouri Southern's school or community has never really supported the football team there
  10. The larger population in the south has to play a roll in this. They can build or add on to current stadiums and add capacity because they have the demographics to do so. If there was a large boom in the midwest and people were moving here like they are to the south, then a lot of schools in the BIG and Big XII would be in position to rise in numbers as well. I think per capita the BIG has the best turnout of all of the other conferences. But thats totally speculation
  11. No, I guess when I think of a pro-style QB, I think more along the lines of a Carson Palmer, AJ McCarron, type athlete. Maybe I'm confusing pro-style and drop back QB? Either way with this kids speed I figured he falls under the dual threat category
  12. Sounds a lot like Les Miles when he was at LSU. Loads of talent that is hindered by the coach being willing to evolve and get out of his comfort zone
  13. Well playing in Canada means he's not afraid of the cold. Point Nebraska!
  14. Exactly! It would be great if he starts peer recruiting like crazy now!
  15. I bet memorial stadium would sound stupid loud with a dome! However idk if the blue hairs could handle that
  16. Well since apparently Clemsons slide was a big hit, I say we step up our game and go with a red teeter-totter or a bouncy house!
  17. The only game I had watched him was vs the chiefs and he pretty smiled all night because they did whatever they wanted on offense
  18. I thought McVay looked like a deer in the headlights a lot during the game. They would show him on the camera and he was wide-eyed and looked like he didn't know what to do. I did love watching Suh push the o-lineman into Brady and knocking him down! It made me think back to win he single handedly dominated Texas.
  19. I know Gary Patterson is extremely tight with the coaching staff at Pitt State and used to bring his staff to the coaches clinics there in Pitt fairly often, which in turn means that Coach Nickelson (Jordans HS coach) is probably pretty familiar and comfortable with them. I wonder if that had any influence over him. IDK but good luck kid.
  20. As a diehard Husker and Chiefs fan, idk how to feel right now!
  21. He has the potential to be the best QB they've ever had. He will at least make teams respect the pass
