  1. I agree with Nebfanatic and I think people are trying to argue over semantics. I would agree that right now he is a Nebraska lean. A lot of momentum and support to back up what Nebfanatic is saying. However, momentum and feelings can change (see Joe Lewis). Should be an exciting ride following this guys recruitment.
  2. Huge need. Hopefully he sees the opportunity to step in an play as a freshman with Kalu and Jones graduating. This kid was the most talented and performed the best at FNL last year... and that includes Lewis and Lindsey.
  3. I think we are trending in the right direction. We are in a better spot today than we with what Bo left the program. I think our recruiting has been slightly better - I can't recall Bo bringing in a big time offensive threat like Tyjon who actually made it to campus. I do agree and wish some of the recent staff changes had been made earlier and think that some of the initial staff hires held us back. Is Nebraska where I wanted them to be after 2 years of Riley? No. But i think we are definitely trending up.
  4. We also have a tendency to red-shirt a fair amount of players which will naturally keep our classes per year smaller. I'd rather keep the 2 schollies and give them to a surprise transfer, JUCO, or deserving walk-on (which can then be used in next years class).
  5. Do we think (or does anyone have information) the staff knew about this flip when Riley spoke a bit ago? Or did this come as a surprise (I know there were rumors the last couple days of him flipping to Wash St)?
  6. Agreed. When looking at last year and this year's class we are set up well for the future. Last year's class was very strong on the oline, rb, cbs and got a solid qb. This year we hit on dline, lb, wr and another solid qb. Where one class was weak the other class has made up for it. I really like these last 2 classes.
  7. What is there number? I'm sure its somewhere but I've looked and can't find it.
  8. Difference is Watson completed 67% of his passes... while Armstrong was 55% and 51% the last 2 years.
  9. Nose Tackle 1) Carlos Davis 2) Khalil Davis 3) Damion Daniels or Watts Left D-Tackle 1) M. Stoltenberg 2) Khalil Davis 3) Peyton Newell Right D-Tackle 1) Freedom Akinmoladun 2) Daishon Neal 3) Ben Stille WLB 1) Collin Miller 2) Sedrick King 3) Quayshon Alexander SLB 1) Marcus Newby 2) Tyrin Ferguson 3) Avery Roberts Strong Side MLB 1) Chris Weber 2) Tryin Ferguson 3) Greg Simmons 4) Luke Gifford Weak Side MLB 1) Dedrick Young 2) Mo Berry 3) Luke Gifford

  11. I don't think there will be any decision this spring. I think the competition carries on into fall camp. One reason would to prevent a transfer and 2nd is to give both the opportunity to lead and compete over the summer.
  12. I do... I can't read the article, but I would guess Demo, Calvin, Lewis, and the guy on the phone in teh above pic You got 3/6 with 1 being incorrect. Per the article, I believe 1 of your guesses is correct, just wasn't mentioned. Quit holding out on us! Sorry man. I've gotta keep my head down for a while. Been ridiculed into doing so. Simply asking for what the article said. Not looking for your opinion on who will be N. This.
  13. Vs what other tackle targets that are beating down the door??? Yes it's very commitable I've read in various sources throughout the year we were taking 3 linemen... possibly 4 if it was the right fit/high star commit. I understand him wanting to stay true his word but think the delay is odd. i wouldn't be surprised if it's not commitable
  14. How sure are we that Walker has a commitable offer at this point?
  15. Exactly. Its like when you break up with your girl - your going to snapchat pics of you with other girls even if you aren't interested in said girls.
  16. Fair or not fair - 2018 and it's schedule will be what dictates Riley and this staff's future. Either we have a 2016 Wisconsin like performance or we have a disastrous/losing season which will bring in a new regime.
  17. Not liking how things are playing out... feeling less and less confident. I really thought we were the leader until recently. Hopefully the coaches can re-emphasize the opportunity, playing time and immediate impact he can make here after the dead period.
  18. Sarell Lewis Holmes Johnson Shelvin Lenoir Slade-Matautia
  19. Agreed. Huge for us he won't be visiting. Everything I've read seems to be in our favor - not visiting OU this weekend will only help.
  20. I hope this is not just washed under the rug and we learn of the end result. The Neb player either needs to be named and punished or the Iowa player needs to re-cant and be punished.
  21. My guess is maybe back to the SEC for another stop as a DC. I'll guess Arkansas.I think they are happy withe Bielmas staff, no? I listened to Chip Brown, the Texas insider, on Russillo and Kannell yesterday and it doesn't seem to be a done deal yet that he will be fired. Although I think it is an almost certainty, Chip seems to think there is a very very small chance he keeps the job.
  22. Thanks for the info. Will definitely have to remember to set the DVR on 12.16
