  1. Rather than quote everyone and make this a post much longer than needed, I'm just going to post everything I was thinking about while reading this thread. First, Ohio State suspended the players for the Sugar Bowl....the NCAA re-instated them instantly. After the NCAA re-instated the players for the Sugar Bowl, the seniors have officially voted and allowed them to play in the game (meaning Tressel still contemplated suspending them but left it up to his team. Second, Michigan Man, prove that Tressel is doing a pay for play or quit spouting your jealous rhetoric. We obviously know your team is hurting as they lose recruit after recruit and look to anything to make you feel better about your team. But don't start making unfounded claims. Third, since people mention Clarrett, before any of his major issues, he was already kicked out of the university since he decided after the Fiesta Bowl, he wasn't going to go to class anymore. Fourth, they sold these items to help their families. I can't verify this, but this is what's being reported. It's not like they held anyone at gunpoint or were selling drugs. Judging by who they were, they could have easily made more money than they did by other means than selling their personal items. So I think 5 games is pretty damn harsh for selling their own property. It's also not a conspiracy against the Huskers. 4 games is the written down suspension for this violation. They apparently got an extra game for not telling their compliance office that they did this when it was officially sent out to all the players. Pryor is important to the team. Herron is currently the lynchpin of the rushing offense. Posey is NOT the best receiver on the team. Sanzenbacher is. However, because of Posey playing, it makes Sanzenbacher's numbers better since they have to cover Posey.
  2. Even Iowas mascot got arrested...Ive been to games in Iowa a few times..I hated it..very rude vulgar fans..the last time I was there I was behind a father and 10yo son and every other word out of both of them was F this and F that..Iowa City isnt a place I enjoy going..and word to the wise when going to Columbus..Be prepared to have your car vandalized be spit on and have stuff thrown at you..OSU is the Worst venue for visiting fans..It became a safety issue so I just stopped going there 1.) You're a scUM fan....we don't like you. 2.) Karen Holboork wasn't even a president of Ohio State last time car vandalization was an issue. 3.) Penn State and Wisconsin are by far worse than anything that has ever happened at Ohio State.
  3. Too late: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9E5gPKBD_tM
  4. I'm assuming if Bo were to leave the Huskers it would be to Ohio Stateafter Tressel's retirement (which may be happening in the next 3-4 years.)
  5. Ohio State vs. Oregon's Speed http://web1.ncaa.org/mfb/worksheet.jsp?year=2009&game=200900000052920100101.xml Wisconsin vs. Miami's speed http://web1.ncaa.org/mfb/worksheet.jsp?year=2009&game=200900000079620091229.xml Iowa vs. Georgia Tech's speed http://web1.ncaa.org/mfb/worksheet.jsp?year=2009&game=200900000025520100105.xml We are big. We are fast. Don't buy into the ESPN hype.
  6. Depends on the context, I suppose. The SEC is clearly the #1 conference, and has been for a decade, but it hasn't been top dog nearly as long as the Big 10, and there's every reason to believe they won't be top dog forever, or even much longer. The SEC is always teetering on the edge of violations sanctions, and they're not always going to get all the top recruits to stay home. They're not always going to have top coaches, and regime change affects everyone differently (think RichRod to Michigan, and extrapolate that to Muschamp to Florida). It's a crapshoot, and if we know anything about college football over the long term, it's proven to by cyclical - sometimes with a vengeance. Don't give in to the ESPN hype too much In 2006, the start of the supposed SEC dominance, the SEC went 1-4 against the Big10. It's happened over the past few years as well but it's traded off. 2006 was the most glaringly obvious that this statement was incorrect.
  7. I think Wisconsin, Indiana, and Ohio State have that already covered
  8. lulz!! This made me chuckle!! But thanx for the warm welcome!! He meant it geographically. No...he meant it monetarily. None of this Texas is more important so they get more money bullsh#t.....everyone gets the same amount.
  9. Looks like he could kick a 60 yard field goal
  10. Faster push and stay lower. You will not stop Big10 rushing attacks without committing at least 8 in the box. Work on the timing and stay in lanes and attack and you'll be able to limit gains. However, most college players lack the discipline to do this which is why it's so hard to stop them. Of course if a team is one dimensional (be it because of your defense or because of their lack of a passing attack), that makes things a lot easier to defend.
  11. All you have to do is hit the QB hard. That's all it took Ohio State to do to slow down their offense last year. Make him afraid to take the ball on the delayed handoff. Then key in on the RB.
  12. According to radio shows today, they're already stating there was misinformation on that article. He got some players incorrect. This is going to mess witha lot of schools.
  13. That's how it works. If you don't get the answers wrong, you won't be part of that "100%" of Husker fans polled
  14. But the birthday of the United States is July 2nd. July 4th is just the signing of the declaration.
  15. The door has been opened for you guys. Don't f#*k it up. We'll see you guys in January. Go Bucks! Go Huskers!
  16. My only issues with the BTN now is the announcers and their lack of homework done on the teams. This is including conference games where both sides should be known by the commentators.
  17. Not sure what kind of experience you're looking for but tailgating is a blast on campus. Sure there's buildings......but that just means multiple levels of tailgating. All down Lane Ave. (for up to about a mile away from the stadium) there's huge tailgating events. I see some of the same tailgaters year in and year out in the same locations. Add to the Heineygate, Ohio State River Jam Tailgate Party, and various other corporate sponsored parties and you have more options. Then just walking through Buckeye Grove, hanging out near the rotunda, Skull Session, etc. They all make for an awesome experience.
  18. Isn't Ohio State's style of play closest to Nebraska's style? Hey Coqui  I would say so. Ultimately, when tOSU plays UNL; then it's going to be one helluva hard hitting contest! The way football should be played. Lots of players are going to be slow getting up the next morning LOL
  19. Don't buy into the media stating D. Robinson is worth much until he actually plays a top 50 Defense. Unfortunately, that won't happen until October 16th (against Iowa)
  20. Purdue has had more promise than Northwestern on the whole.
  21. Isn't Ohio State's style of play closest to Nebraska's style?
  22. As an Ohio State fan, we want to play anyone that's good all the time. Our cupcakes are normally in state games or the teams we played used to be good when we actually scheduled them.
  23. The first one had me laughing, but some of the other ones are amusing too http://www.sportspickle.com/article:538/proposed-logos-for-the-12-team-big-ten
