  1. That's Isaiah Thomas, who plays for the Suns right now, not Isiah Thomas, who is the Pistons HOF.
  2. I think it's safe to say that De'Mornay will be the main punt returner for the foreseeable future.
  3. The 2009 defense started out against FAU, only allowed 3 points, forced 5 turnovers, but gave up 352 yards. I'd say that was better than yesterday, to be honest.
  4. They did better with blocking on the punt returns and I could've swore I saw them line everyone up to go after the punter and try to block it. They almost did get the block, too. Even though we only got one decent punt return, I like what I saw from the punt return unit. Kick coverage needs work, though. Ameer was in the game for two punt blocks. He actually almost got one. Kenny Bell should not be returning punts for us the rest of the year, and I suspect (and hope) the coaches are smart enough to recognize how completely lost he is. I respect him for being a senior and wanting to help the team and volunteering for the role, but his results were quite terrible. He obviously fumbled, which is less concerning than him completely misjudging the flight of two punts. That is the stuff that left us with terrible field position last year, luckily it didn't specifically hurt us yesterday. But overall, you need a PR that has that ability to read the ball in the air and KB does a lot of things well, but this is something he clearly struggles with. Now that De'Mornay's redshirt has been burned, I see no reason not to have him be the top PR. He looked better than Kenny did out there.

  6. Anyone have a recap of the tunnel walk? What's new?
  7. Jared Crick and SJB will probably be starters for the Texans and Saints, respectively.
  8. Yes, Bo said they would make decisions and release a depth chart later in the week.
  9. I doubt Kevin Williams will be in the two deep for the opener. Logan Rath will probably get his spot.
  10. This has got to be one of the longest games I've ever watched. Two hours in and we haven't even finished the first half.

  11. Williams wasn't even a starter, so why would we start moving people? If Collins or VV goes down, then we can start moving people. So under your methodology, we should only have 24 players on scholarship. 11 on D. 11 on O. A kicker. A punter. If someone gets hurt, we can offer schollies to other kids, but lets not worry about that until one of the 24 players on the team gets injured. Yeah, that's exactly what I'm trying to say. You took the words right out of my mouth. No, what I'm saying is that it's stupid to suggest moving a starting DE to DT because a backup DT went down. We still have other guys who play DT and can fill in Williams' role.

  13. Seems about right. The only teams I'd say we should be ahead of are Kansas State and TAMU. Don't know how either one of them is ranked ahead of us, but whatever. It's not gonna matter in a few weeks, anyway.
  14. Zach Darlington is now live in practice. That's a good sign for him.

  15. More like Harvey is sitting in Corvo trying his damnedest to find a party.
  16. I'm so happy to see Austin Rose in a Nebraska uniform. He's such a nice kid and it's a shame that he was injured his senior year. Here's to hoping that he has a good career.
  17. I don't think anyone here really believes that Randy Gregory of all people will take it easy just because he signed an insurance policy. The speculation is warranted, though. Like it or not, Clowney kind of set a precedence.
  18. I like to get my hair faded, so it's hard to find a barber that can cut my hair well. I found a guy that can do very good fades, so I usually tip him when I have the extra cash. If I just go to some chain place and get a crappy cut, I'm not gonna tip, though.
  19. You're not. I'm in the same boat right now. I was planning on going back to college starting next month, but plans changed and now I have no idea what to do with my life. Haven't been in a relationship for over a year. Things aren't great, at the moment.
  20. No one is making this into a "race issue". The whole premise of the OP is flawed. He's asking if two receivers that have never even played together are like Todd Peterson and Nate Swift. Sam Burtch is kind of a slower possession receiver like Peterson was, but it's pretty much impossible to say if Brandon Reilly will be like Nate Swift, since he's never played in a game for us. Literally the only reason this is even a question is because they're white. I really doubt anyone has ever wondered if say, Quincy Enunwa and Kenny Bell were like Nate Swift and Todd Peterson. Oops. I guess what I meant to say is that he hasn't played extensively enough to got a good idea of what kind of player he could be. He only has like, four career catches.

  22. I like how close all these guys seem to be.
