  1. I feel like I have heard this one before.
  2. Had a good day avoiding penalties and ball security issues. Need a lot of work, but nice to see those issues cleaned up in week one.
  3. This could mean the end. To go from the 3rd conference in the country to extinct in 1 and 1/2 years would be amazing.
  4. It is a shame, but basketball dosen't pay the bills. Basketball is irrevelant in all of this. Sounds like BYU is going Big12.
  5. I was at Kyle Field in 2010. I had a great time, one of my favorite road trips ever. All A&M fans I came across were friendly and respectfull, and I came home a fan of the program. You will get no support for your view of the referees here however. Hope it works out for A&M in the SEC.
  6. Listening to Gotlieb this morning on 810. Florida dosen't want Florida St, S. Carolina dosen't want Clemson, Georgia dosen't want Georgia Tech, Kentucky dosen't want Lousiville. I thought he said those 4 politic with another school and the vote was 6-5. I am starting to feel A&M will be left at the alter.
  7. I would like to see what they would do playing good teams week in week out. Until they do we will just continue to speculate.
  8. I never tire of Merril Hodge bashing Tim Tebow.

to go against Tebow is to go against God

  9. "ND may be interested in a aligment of independent schools" from hookem Does this not describe the Big12?
  10. Gottlieb reporting Mizzou will not join SEC. I can't believe they would turn down the SEC.
  11. I agree NU is a national draw and that is why NU got into the Big10 over MU, Rutgers, or anyone else. NU does not have the regional "footprint" that is always talked about in expansion. It was the point I was trying to make, and the reason FSU would be more desireable than Missouri or Maryland.
  12. I think the fact that the Big10 invited NU proves that TV footprint does not drive expansion. The Big10 chose the Nebraska market over the New Jersey/NYC market. FSU moves the dial more than Missouri or Maryland. Which game would you watch FSU vs LSU or Maryland vs Florida? Why would FSU go the the SEC? $$$$$ I think it is a done deal, and now the ACC needs one more team and I don't think they have more the offer than the Big East when the Big East is negotiating a new primary rights deal.
  13. So if I understand this correctly, A&M would leave for the SEC without assurances from the state legislature regrading their 40 million or so in research grant money?
  14. Does the Big10 expand? I don't think so. Maryland, Rutgers, Kansas, or anyone else mentioned does not bring enough value to justify splitting the money pie into more slices. ND is the only exception.
  15. What I find strange about this is the timing of it. The Big10 stories or rumors last year didn't start up until about December or January. Nothing needs to be decided on this subject until about May. A&M could be bargaining here with this chip to change TLN somehow. This just seems way too much info out there that doesn't need to be out there. Texas politics. I enjoy observing the Big12 drama much more with the view from the BIG10.
  16. I read in the OWH that Osborne said this would mean an end to the 2 for 1 deals with teams such as Fresno and Wyoming. TV runs the show, and I don't see much difference in how NU's schedule should look.
  17. This is silly. Big10 institutions love being part of the Big10 because of the money. How happy would every Big10 team be if every Big12 team was bringing in more revenue?
  18. Nebraska fans will sorely miss the great rivalry they have enjoyed with the Cyclones. It is certainly the most bitter-sweet pill to swallow in moving to the Big10. A matchup of football teams rich in historical achievement meeting countless times with championships to be decided. A classic matchup which all of college football will miss. It is breaking my heart.
  19. Terrible fans, terrible stadium. They deserve to lose a every other year sell-out.
  20. It seems to me like Beebe is bluffing. I don't quite understand how the BigIX has the authority to state what the Longhorn network can and cannot use for it's programing that the BigIX does not have rights to. I don't know how this will all unfold, but ESPN has put a lot of money into their network, and can't be happy about this.
  21. The prices for NU and OSU are $15 higher than any other game? Who do they think they are, Iowa State?
