  1. This is a good point. If we have scholly players that are basically useless why are they even here? I think year 1 is explainable, but not next year.
  2. This why message boards exist. For people that you. Thats all you gotta do. Make him a better player. More “don’t fumble the basic snap drills”. Maybe sprinkle in a “Hey don’t throw it to the other team session”. The flaw is they brought in the wrong guy, not that they can’t coach him.
  3. Is this even topic if the QB didn’t have a social media worthy epic fail? One thing I found interesting yesterday is that none of the coverage I saw even covered what happened. I heard several times that “The D forced turnovers” & “took the ball away”. I also heard the offense made “half time adjustments”. Deion = viewers and THEY HAVE to run with it. The only fail here, and I’ll admit it’s a big one, is going with Sims. He’s going to make a few big plays this year. Possibly even have a mistake free game. But it’s over. He’s not even close to championship level and the team will only go as he goes.
  4. I just don’t think you can. The guy provides you with your best chance to win and lose. They put any of the other guys in there it’s over. Other teams load the box and go to man. It’s done folks. In two games you’ve seen how 2023 is going to go. We will beat some sorry teams. Beat a couple marginal teams and Sims pulls together a mistake free game for us to win one game we shouldn’t. Buckle up because all we know is there’s going to be ? every week. We need to find the best QB available in the portal and there can be no doubts around him.
  5. This is the second dumbest topic in the last 24 hours.
  6. The D. How they tackle. The young talent. I know the kicker hit the upright, but had some leg in it. I have a little bit of sick joy in the fact that Sims best play of the year was a fluke trick play.
  7. I was not much of a T-Mart fan and I’d take him right now. We saw a new level today. It was a confirmation of what I just thought might be a fluke at Minny.
  8. I think it’s a fair question. I just don’t know. Based upon what I saw, I think we are stuck with Sims. The season will go as he goes. Its game 2 and I feel like the season is over. It’s a real shame for the rest of the team. There’s some talent.
  9. This all you can do. All the “run the damn ball” people will probably lose it. If we run every play they will load the box like everyone has done the last decade.
  10. I struggle to understand how any in-depth assessment of coaching can be made when the QB turns the ball over like it’s part of the game plan.
  11. What we know so far……They’ve beat two bad football teams.
  12. Offense: -We will ride or die with performance of the QB for the rest of the year. -The QB room is bare. It’s scary. -The rest of the O squad didn’t play great, but good enough to win. Defense: -outstanding effort -I don’t put a lot into the second half. I think the were tapped physically and mentally. General -I give Deion credit. He’s a winner. -I still believe in Rhule but it’s not going to be a year one turn around. -it’s tough to be a Husker fan. The performance by Sims is one of the worst individual performances I’ve seen ever. As bad as he is, there is no one behind him. -dramatic alert. I can’t say how disappointed I am I have to wait ANOTHER year.
  13. For what it’s worth……. Calahan said on KFAB this week that the Grant fumble thing has been grossly exaggerated. He only had one fumble last year.
  14. I think they take a big step this week. They play clean they win. I’m excited. GBR!!!
  15. Only thing Illinois had offensively was QB scramble on broken plays. Had a big TE that made a few plays. In general the D didn’t stop anything. But I was impressed with KU. There were several pretty big calls against them that were trash. The score didn’t reflect the domination in this game.
  16. It’s early but Kansas is having their way with Illinois.
  17. This is where I'm at. The medical staff made a mistake. It happens and it looks like they are trying to be out in front of it. It's surprising they don't have some kind of protocol to pull someone's helmet. They got lucky and will likely make changes for the future. But how can no one on the team say....."Whoaaa, he's not going back in there!". It makes it even worse they were playing Central Michigan.
  18. Florida legislator says Bears DT Gervon Dexter's NIL deal violated law (msn.com)
  19. 6'3" runs a 10.89 and throws the shot 52+. I don't know that I've ever seen that combo before. That's impressive.
  20. I don't really care for NIL or transfer portal, but I think this take is dead on..........
  21. Understand….but there were several occasions where a perfect throw was the difference.
