  1. History tells us that if we rush for 200+, we'll most likely come out with a win.

Actually we are 12-0 when Martinez rushes for 25 yards or more....how crazy is that.

thats wild. either way, it lies on his shoulders. how scary is that?

Huskers win!!! Martines is the only Husker to carry the ball. He rushed for 26 yards on 50 attempts!!!

  2. Wisconsin is probably a cooler state that Nebraska. Why wouldn't you want to live in Madison? I'm not hating on my heritage, but seriously...it's a lakeside campus that knows how to party. What is there to hate? I like Sconnie, but Lincoln will always be #1.
  3. Overrated = Kinnie, Crick, Steinkuhler, Cassidy Underrated = Enunwa, Maher, Ankrah, Aaron Green
  4. Agreed. The pitchfork one is the best by far.
  5. Y MY PROFILE PIC NO UPDATE?!!!

  6. Call me a pessimist, but Sconnie has looked light years ahead of us against slightly lesser competition. Now I really hope that we can finally play up to our potential, but based on what I've seen out of us so far, it's looking like the Badgers are the favorites in this one by at least 10 IMHO.
  7. Good for Wyo. I'm sure Laradice will be rockin! They played with Texas the other year so I don't want to underestimate them, but seriously.....it's going to be a bloodbath.
  8. This game all hinges on our D-Line play in my opinion. Wisconsin's obvious strength is their offensive line. Crick and co. need to play as well as advertised in the preseason. That means a good amount of pressure on Wilson, disruptions in the backfield, and hurrying throws. Obviously, this is no easy task, but with all that's riding on this game, I have a good feeling that Bo will rally the troops and hopefully we can put together a solid outing defensively. Offensively its all going to be about spreading the ball around. We're going to need Taylor to keep improving in the decision making, sliding, throwing the ball away, going out of bounds when appropriate in order to win. If he struggles, we will lose....big. Rex needs to be dependable on crucial short yardage situations and the freshman need to step up and showcase their speed and playmaking ability. This means that Bell, Turner, Abdullah, Green, and Heard all need to get touches throughout the game. We can't depend on Rex and Taylor to win this game for us. It wouldn't hurt if Kyler got the ball with some open field in front of him for once. The dude is a playmaker. Bottom line is that our defense will have to play lights out. (Sacks, TURNOVERS, pressure, negative yardage)
  9. Loved the Kenny Bell presser today. What a likable guy. Really hope he gets the ball more. Wanna see him tear it up this year.

  10. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia premieres tomorrow at 9 on FX. I highly suggest all of you check it out. Hands down one of the funniest shows on TV. Bar none.

    QB?

100% correct. I did too. Lot's of our young posters like to dream up that those three consistently went through all four reads and threw laser-guided passes. lol! Nothing could be further from the truth. "Nothing". The main differences are..... 1. Oline.....a Grand Canyon sized difference. Maybe even bigger. 2. Wrs.....our wrs then weren't great but they usually would actually catch the damn ball. 3. OC.....TO & SW, another Grand Canyon sized difference. The other tone I notice posted endlessly is that Tmart is blamed for "not spreading the ball around". How many times have we seen our rbs get totally stuffed on 1st or 2nd downs? Tmart's fault? Or our wrs drop balls all over the place. Tmart's fault? Imo we're just damn lucky to have the kid. The fans can diss him all they want but them doing so just makes me appreciate Bo/Beck even more. GBR!! You said it all my friend. People need to take a step back and look at the facts. He's a sophomore. He doesn't have a great O-line to protect him and make holes for him to run through. He doesn't have a great corp of receivers to catch the ball or even get open for him on a consistent basis. He had Shawn Watson as his OC his first season. (That fact alone was detrimental to his early progression as a QB) He is learning a whole new offense in his second season under center. Things fans CAN critisize him for --His lack of ball security (That's a no brainer. It doesn't take much skill to hold onto the ball) --His accuracy (Just to emphasize, once it hits the receiver's hands, it's not his fault...granted it would be easier if it were more on target, but the old rule is if you touch it, you catch it.) --His pocket presence (He needs to know when to tuck it and run, but again, his offensive line is young and inexperienced. Can't put all the blame on him for getting pressure put on him constantly)

    QB?

T-Magic healthy stats: Passing-- 91 of 163 for 1396 yards. 10 tds and 5 ints. 55.8 comp. pct. Rushing: 143 Att. for 1187 yards. 8.3 yards a carry for 17 td's. An overall record of 9-1. In ten games he has 2500 yards and 27 touchdowns. Regardless of quality of opponent, it is unreal to have anything bad to say about a sophomore's first 10 games like that.
  14. I'm only give you a hard time. I agree with you. People get doom and gloom early. Besides, maybe this is a good thing? I think we started off the last two seasons pretty well only to screw up at key points. Maybe starting the season not as consistently as we would have hoped will mean we have a great season? Anyways, the season is young! We have to remember that this is what we look forward to all year. Enjoy it! 2010 = Strong start, lousy finish. 2011 = Lousy start, hopefully strong finish I know it's not that simple, but being an optimist, i would like to think that with these two wake up calls on both offense and defense in the first two games, we will be able to learn from them and be stronger as a unit as the season progresses. The fact that the first 4 games of our season aren't particularly difficult will give us a good enough window to improve before Wisconsin and Ohio State. I have faith in Bo and the other coaches to get our miscues fixed in time for the big step up in competition.
  15. If BK starts this week, i'm going to bust a nut.

I know BK isn't a slot receiver, but it just seems ridiculous to have him start when he doesn't do a f'ing thing while the most explosive player on the team (other than Martinez) is on the sideline.

BK hasn't been playing all that well so far but I think it's to early to give up on him.

  16. The Best That Never Was > Cheifs/Bears game.

  17. With all of these awful happening in college football, i really hope Nebraska stays true and doesn't have anything happen to this magnitude. Credit Bo for keeping our guys in line. (Knock on wood)
  18. Bingo! That dude was hysterical. But yeah, less field goals (even though Maher is awesome) and more TDs. Less do this thing.
  19. I liked the 2nd half of the article. Pretty cool.
  20. I can't bet on this, for i'll be at the game, but I hate that godforsaken commercial. They try to force new technology into their dialogue to the point where I just start to laugh. "She's Facebook DUH-LETED!" haha.
