  1. Defense looked the same to me...not to much of a 3-4 look (correct me if im wrong, i was drinking heavily). I also want to note, when Meredith is a stand up d-end i do not consider this any type of a 3-4..he is still just as slow and ineffective as if he were in a 3 or 4 point stance.
  2. Kool aid? Please. I have us slated for 4+ losses. It was a question. Wasnt necessarily directed at you..Just at anyone in general who believes a beat down of Arky State is top 25 worthy...However, If in a few weeks we still only have 1 loss..It will be well deserved.
  3. we already learned what happens when we play competition Agreed..lets see how this new/young defensive unit fares against some competition. We have been really good at showing up against sub-par teams..and then melting down against teams who present any kind of a challenge.
  4. Its Arkansas State..Lets put down the kool-aid until we play some real competition
  5. We just dont have the rotation to keep the offensive line fresh...The hurry might work against inferior teams...see Southern Miss..but last week our O-line was gassed in the 4th. Once we develop some decent depth on the line the hurry up will become effective.
  6. Really dont think we will learn much until we face some competition...Maybe Wisky..tOSU..These are games we are suppose to win..On the bright side, For the love of god keep Eric Martin on the field. He appears to be our only lineman who can beat his man and lay the wood.
  7. Stats? Sounds like he may be done at half
  8. What happened to all this "team unity" and "were all a family" bullcrap...It seems to me this entire offseason we were fed horsesh*t by both the players and coaches...Its about time that we start sifting through the excuses/heresay and figure out what's really wrong
  9. Bo's National Perception = The number of times a camera pans down to the sideline just waiting for another embarrasing blow up..Your demeanor and personality towards players and the media/fans are a direct result of the way you are perceived.
  10. looked a lot like last years defense...did anyone notice how easily the zone read and option worked against our weakside and strongside lb'ers...we have some serious work to do on the defensive line and linebackers..dont forget..we have an extremely strong running qb and rb coming up next weekend...hope we can fill these holes

    LeVeon Bell

The guy is a big time back..unfortunately for Mich State..he'll be gone to the draft after this year...As a Husker fan, thank god he will be gone next year
  12. Gotta love how Peterson gets his players prepared for every game. Its tough to bring in an extremely young team to Sparty stadium and lead at half. Of course as i'm typing this Maxwell throws another pick. Give the ball to Bell the entire 2nd half. Kids a stud and need the ball in his hands
  13. Dont think we will cover. S Miss head coach was the d-coordinator for South Carolina last year - He has seen was the last coach to see our offense. Granted the talent level isn't the same. Southern Miss D is no slouch and returns a lot of players. I think they will keep it close. NEB wins 28-17.
  14. Plain and simple. Bo's culture is obviously not working (towards high quality recruits). We need high quality recruits to win championships (just ask the SEC). Not saying Bo needs to go. But he needs to seriously reconsider how he is treating the media/fans/players. I find it no coincidence we are losing some big time players at a time when the team needs to think about the 2012-13 season. Secondly, Cotton must go. Anyone who can convince me otherwise - The floor is yours.
  15. Nice pick up...if i remember correctly we pulled a 3* d-back out of SEC country a few years back..and he turned out to be a good one. Dennard was his name i believe.
  16. 247 is reporting that he commited to washington...down goes another lineman
  17. ^^^^agreed...we can say all we want about the future of the qb (stanton & armstrong) position. These guys will be dead in the water without some great o-lineman...o-line and d-line recruits should be at the top of the list every single year (imo).
  18. Some news coming out about this guy..Anyone have any info?
  19. Committed to Memphis...the QB list is slimming. I really hope they coaches are making progress with their current targets.
  20. Any word on how he is doing at the Rival 5 Star Challenge?
  21. ^^^ Its what recruiting has turned into. Tell them what they want to hear whether its true or not. Not sure if our coaches use these tactics. Haven't really heard any recruits mention that our coaches are pushing them to commit. I know it might be a dirty trick to promise playing time but it seems to get the big time recruits to commit.
  22. A consistant and dominant defensive/offensive line. The rest of the pieces will fall into place.
  23. Football speed is completely different than track speed. Watch the mid 90's Nebraska defenses, thats football speed.
  24. I would take speed over power any day. Look at what the SEC is recruiting now, its very similar to what was happening in the 80's and 90's (thanks for pointing that out Foppa). All those Florida power house teams with speed and every single skill position, combined with giant d-tackles/o-lineman and middle linebackers. Now mix in extremely fast and agile d-ends (Our biggest concern - Im looking at you Ankrah and Meredith), cornerbacks, OLB'ers, WR's, and the occasional mobile QB Its the perfect balance of speed where you need it, and size used sparingly but in all the right positions. The B1G is getting lost in in regards to size everywhere on the field, which is putting us a step behind the SEC. Im no fan of Urban Meyer, but the way he is recruiting at tOSU, I cant help but see them competing with the SEC in the next few years.
