    So lets see...Garrison considered one of the top 25 recruiters in the nation, built a pretty solid line out of patch work because of injuries, but AD didn't think he earned a raise. Makes sense.

    My next phone will either be the iPhone 6 or the Samsung Galaxy 5. What does everybody else think?

      I have the Iphone 4s. Its built solid but I don't care for it compared to the functions of my old blackberry. Only good thing is sharing apps between the ipad and the kid's ipod touches. That being said...i'll do the Galaxy 5 when it comes out.

      I think it's a half hearted gesture. It will be hard to find folks for that price when the going rate is probably 80+. You might get a desk jockey and someone to look at film coming right from a GA slot but to get the type of people we want we need to pay like S&C coaches salaries. I'm hoping those rates can move up as its been suggested by some boosters. Right now we should worry about keeping assistant coaches after only two had pay raises.

      4 have been approved since right before the bowl game. Only issue is they don't pay crap. He's been given a total of $200,000 for the four spots. In contrast the new AD for risk is paid $500,000.

    This is meant as a legitimate question, because I don't follow recruiting much. Why is this year's class considered so much better than past classes that were rated the same or higher?

      Agree with Landlord. . .we addressed some holes we needed to fill up. Could have used another DE and a DT but we'll have a shot at a couple of local kids next year that should take our offers and they are well rated. Also have a pretty solid walk on class again. There are a couple of D-1 schollie guys in there.

    Really impressed with recruiting urgency this year, to whom is this attributed to recruiting experts?

      Those Jets have been there the past two years for the last two weeks. What we need is Jets year round. There hasn't been a request for more air time to the boosters since the one in Dec 2012. In fact SE not returning emails to some boosters lost us acess to at least two jets.

      It will be a small class. I think only 16-18 assuming some guys leave the program. Maybe as low as 14. Which is too bad because next year is huge as far as local talent goes.

    It's Friday time for the pledge. I flew into Omaha to play a golf course not far from there. It's about a drive about an hour drive outside of the airport, a private airport in Omaha...a place called Sand Hills.

      Sand Hills is in Mullen Nebraska. Its about 6 hours outside of Omaha. Most people fly to a private airstrip there or into North Platte and drive about 90 minutes.
