  1. I really hope that crap doesn't catch on. The Sea of Red trumps "power towels" every time. Sea of Red plus the black rags equals badass. I was at the Wisky game and the student section looked really cool with the black rags. I went to the A&M game in 2010 and it is a neat scene when they start waving the towels, the stadium turns completely white.
  2. This is a fair enough excuse, 3-4 years ago. But those miscues have become a trend to the point that they're a mainstay of Pelini's program. I don't think there's any question it's a coaching issue at this point. I understand that it is getting really old having the same BS happen all the time but what can Bo do about it...Maybe a different drill or something that will stick. i might be giving Bo the benefit of the doubt, but I would think he has addressed the situation in a few different ways and is almost at a loss because it keeps happening. I'm no saying Bo is innocent of it either, it is a team game and the coaches are just as much at fault on things as the players.
  3. RB: Kemp WR: Walker TE: Sandland OL: Morris & Cochran DL: Johnson & Russell DE: Boyd or Mathis( if he qualifies ) DB: Willis & Alexander
  4. Can you tell me why we're a top team for fumbles every year? Can you tell me why Martinez still has horrible form? Why we have costly penalties that lead to scoring drives for the other team? Bo doesn't know how to stop these mistakes. Bo is not the one fumbling, he is not the one causing penalties...Sooner or later, the players need to take responsibility for the things they do. I'm sure all this stuff pisses Bo off like no other and he wants it to stop also.
  5. Agreed. I don't know why people look into this and turn it into a negative. Bell had a NONSENSE penalty, Bo said something to him, which every coach should, and Bell went over board. I hope he has to do some conditioning drills when he gets back to Lincoln for the lack of respect. If Bo was losing this team, you would see the team give up, and not still play hard. Take away those 3 turnovers, it would have been a different game. Bo lost the team a long time ago, we constantly are a top team for turnovers. Penalties, turnovers, late subs and unprepared players so we have to call timeouts. Bo doesn't have it, he's got one more year and then he's gone. You have no idea what you are talking about, do you? How do penalties, turnovers and whatever else you want to complain about equate into losing the team?
  6. S**t happens. You don't play your best every single week. Sure, being disappointed is fine, but the nuclear meltdown on this board is wholly uncalled for Exactly. Urban's Buckeyes just beat Purdue by the skin of their teeth so obviously he needs to get canned too. Ohio State beat Michigan St. by 1. Indiana by 3, and Purdue by 7. There's only one Big Ten team they have played where the game wasn't even close. Guess who? Also, if you want to look at their non con schedule they only beat UAB by 14, Cal by 7, and Central Florida by 15. Of teams played, Miami Ohio and Nebraska are the only two teams they've absolutely dominated. They've squeaked every Big Ten win out but 1, so why should Urban be fired for creaming our ass and continuing to 8-0. Not only that, but I guess I have to remind you that they are undefeated in URBAN MEYER'S FIRST YEAR. So really, with all this talk about DERP. That post actually is the king of all DERPS. You do realize that Urban has been a head coach for sometime now...If not, don't post stupid sh#t like this until you get the facts correct.
  7. ^^^My wife said " I thought this was an away game " when they showed the stadium. It was great to see.
  8. What if that 60 yr old cougar wouldn't have slipped me a roofie?
  9. Whit if the dog wouldn't have stopped to take a sh#t?
  10. So it is his job to catch a punt or punt the ball? Yes. It is Pelini's job to field a team that is not among the worst in the nation in turnover margin. He's failed. I guess I will agree to disagree. That is player mistakes. Huge mistakes. Where do you suppose these players learn from? Yeah because that is all Bo teaches...Some off you guys waste good oxygen
  11. I don't see any problems with what he said...Sometime the truth hurts and these kids need to hear it.
  12. Oh great, Texas is recruiting him now...we are screwed
  13. This kid is a pipedream but at least he is visiting. Sooner or later we will get one of these kids to commit.
  14. I agree...We have to get kids like this if we want to compete with the other big boys in the confrence. It also helps recruit other kids from Florida when you have some on your team.
  15. Rashaan Gaulden named us his leader not to long ago...Would be great to get him up here for a visit and get him to commit.
  16. A guy his size and with the wing span he has should be a LT first and foremost depending on his footwork.
  17. What will the excuse from the naysayers be when we drop half hundred on them and hold them to 14. Northwestern does not scare me one bit
  18. I dont even.. just, how? I take it you never watched Dukes of Hazard...
  19. Huskerboard needs a He-man Derp Haters Club

  20. I'll agree. I'm as big'a Bo-backer as anyone, but if we bomb the next two years, then yes, by then it will time for a change. I was a Callahan supporter up to the '07 USC game. The programs was taking steps. Sure '06 ended badly, but we were very competitive with two very good teams (Auburn was the only team to beat that season's National Champion). But when the USC game in '07 came around, and then the near Ball St. disaster a week later it became clearly evident it just was not going to work out. So, I joined the crowd and got my pitchforks out too. I just believe in patience. Cally only got 4 years, and Bo is in #5 and I'm asking for more, but with Cally is was obvious. There was plenty of evidence. With Bo. Not YET. If we finish this year with the status quo 9 wins, then yes, two more years should be a reasonable guarantee. But we also have to define exactly what a "flop" in the next two years would be... With the scheduling and a veteran offense, I'm gladly to say that anything less than a division championship would be borderline unacceptable. It would be tough to require a Big 10 championship simply because of what Ohio St. is probably going to be. That's something that could vary througout the season. Requiring a BCS bowl and/or MNC would just be ludicrous. As far as wins go, any thing less than 10 win regular seasons the next couple, could spell bad news. I hope not, but it could. I am in the same boat as you are with Bo...If we can finish with another 9-10 win season and a win in the bowl game, i will be happy. Next year should line up good for us with our schedule and if he lays an egg in a couple games, then I will start doubting him as a coach.
  21. More "we're doing everything right, the players just aren't getting it" mentality. Here's a thought...how about trying something different? What you're currently doing isn't working. So your basicly saying that the coaches don't know how to teach tackling? Do you ever have a logical thought? I'm guessing not just by reading all your comments. So you're basically saying that the coaches can't recruit players capable of learning properly taught tackling? Hey man, I'm not the one that is getting all bent out of shape over stupid sh!t...and if you think Nebraska is the only team that has issues with tackling, then you don't watch much football. Tackling has takin a backseat to the big hit plain and simple.
