They did, but his interest was lukewarm or partially interested at best. He made a mistake picking PSU when they already had a QB committed nearly a year ahead of his decision. I do think his ceiling is better at receiver though. Happy with McCaffery.

Some people will tell you it doesn't matter. I think it's one of the few reasons we haven't fallen off the cliff, and we should be very thankful for it.

That's just it, they only have a few more spots left. They usually have much of their class filled before fall camp starts, as they don't invest a lot of time recruiting uncommitted prospects in-season. They've done much of their damage at OL and LB the past few years, but areas they routinely are good at. Because of this should Nebraska get on campus visits and even improve by 3 wins(Bowl game included), we'll not only catch them but might even pass them. Their average might be higher but volume will allow us to pass them. Let me be clear, that I give them props for taking what they've done and built on it.

Wan'Dale will be lights out if he can focus more on playing receiver than being relied upon to take carries out of the backfield.

Expected. He'll be a nice hybrid player for them. DE when they play spread teams and OLB when they play the Iowa downhill types.

I could Agree here. This class was going to be fine with or without him. To me, if for some reason he decommits from Iowa, I could see him picking K State and electing not to revisit Nebraska.

He could be a field LB like Domann, but I really think his future is at ILB.

I personally have a difficult time seeing Ferentz not knowing anything having worked with Doyle so closely the last couple of decades at Iowa, and Brian being his son.

Think he's legit. I do have questions on whether he'll grow out of being a OLB.

For me its more about giving the team a chance if we're suffering at QB. Giving someone else a try. There's so many examples where poor to mediocre QB holds us back. I, for one, hope Martinez comes back with a vengeance and rips it up, as I think he physically gives us the best chance. However, what I can't stomach is an experienced QB, missing and over/under throwing and locking onto receivers. So I hope that changes.

If Martinez goes and stays sideways, Frost needs to pull the trigger for Luke.

If Joseph is in Lincoln, Bootle seems like he'd split time at safety and Nickle depending on the matchup.

True....that's the problem. Not only did you have a new center figuring things but Hixon being right next to him made the OL a hot mess.

They were big plays all the time at UCF. As for the clip, it really makes Hixson look bad. Late in the season and he gets whipped. Hope whomever plays LG does better.
