  1. Price seems like a really good kid. I wish him nothing but the best and hope he gets healthy soon.
  2. I will go with Moore. First freshmen OL to open the season as a starter. That's impressive.
  3. He looks like a great player. They need to get better video. That's not normal speed.
  4. Got to love a QB with the name of Armstrong! Welcome aboard.
  5. Every game scares me. As far as the altitude, sub early and sub often.
  6. Personally I would of liked OU but they are dead serious about the academics. Surprised they voted us in. Salsa has it right. They are looking for value.
  7. We really need to coach up our bullets. We aren't jamming anyone on the line for our returns and our bullets are getting to close to our returners when they are trying to catch the ball. (This week and previous games) On coverage our bullets are not taking the right angle. We are taking too deep of an angle and running right by the ball and out of the play. Just like a punt block pick a spot in front of the subject. Happy with our power wing formation. Thompsen and Long are doing a good job. Legate had a better week. Good for him.
  8. Obviously that's a stadium fart. You got the crossed arms for maximum fart velocity, not to mention the constipated look. The wind is swirling in a counter clockwise direction originating from the north. The guy on the right immediately succombs and is ready to pass out as he is looking down. The gal above him is trying to raise her chin and hold her breathe. Shark boy is almost ready to collapse. The guy to the right is stunned as his mouth is open as he attempts to breathe through his mouth. Dissipation is ocurring though and the guy to the upper left and right by him are able to hold their breathe and locate the source. The upper guy doesn't know him and is exacerbated. The 2 dudes next to him know him and one is thinking 'dude that's not good' and the one next to him is thinking "dude, good one!"
  9. Is this true? You'd think a bunch of 3 and outs would lead to more possessions also. You have a point. I don't really know.
  10. The opponents are scoring more too so we end up getting more possessions.
  11. Hard to tell. I would call it inconclusive. It could of but then it might not of....
  12. I think it's because the offense played better. Bo has more confidence at fixing the defense as he is in more control. He has to rely more on others to get the offense fixed, hence the worry as that is more out of his control. People get apprehensive if they don't feel in control.
  13. Finally they substituted a bit on offense!!!!! I like the fact that they used the freshmen in the 3rd and so Burkhead had a lot in the tank for the 4th. Green has nice vision. He is a natural. I like the fact that I saw a couple backup linemen get some time in.... Thompson, Sirles, Jones. That helps us for the 4th quarter and gets our players experienced, keeps morale up and keeps them hungry for more. I like the fact that they used their option pass, the boot and the fullback trap. I like that they spread the ball out and got the ball into the hands of the playmakers Bell&Turner&Green. Use those backs in the passing game. I think we made some good improvement on offense tonight. Defense? Hmm Not sure. Will say it looked like Mitchell played a good game. Want to see more P.J. & Roach. I think the defense will be fine.
  14. My guess would be his hands are fine otherwise he wouldn't be back their catching punts & Kickoffs. My question about Marlowe is his ability to get open/separation.
  15. I am excited about what Silva could do with our staff. I am looking forward to Nebraska baseball.
  16. I think BK will get it turned around. He's got good perspective on the issue and seems like a good kid. I'm in his corner.
  17. I believe we are running a nickel package and dime package, but we don't have a guy that 'fits' as a peso so we haven't run that type of personnel package. The way I understand it is the peso is a guy that can play LB or DB, while a nickel is an extra DB.
  18. The 2009 line gave up 400 yards to a 3-9 Colorado team. They were a good line but I think we have had better overall. I called it push between 2009 vs 2011 because of the depth, but will change that to go with 2009 because I overestimated Martin's impact. We have had a lot of good defensive lines. 1984 was a very good year. Spachman, Danny Noonan, Jim Skow, Strasburger & Bill Weber. Spent so much time in the opponents backfield they should of got visas.
  19. So I got direct tv this fall and received NFL ticket free. I got an email saying I have it and what the lineup was. The lions were suppose to be on 711. I am in Omaha. I couldn't get the game though. I could see 1-2 other games on the 700's channels but could only get a couple of them to work. Were the Lions blacked out? Am I being an idiot? Does Choice-Xtra get any FOX sports channels? Was it on Fox somewhere? I also can't get 671 (Royals baseball - Gordan) to showup. Is it always blacked out? I am suppose to get local channels and when I do a channel access search on my zip it lists 671 as available.
  20. Sneaky ........... Adam Carricker was a 3 yr starter as a QB in High School.
  21. +1 In this regard the BCS poll has it closer to reality. Waits until mid season to put a poll out.
  22. From my angle it looked like Carr was in watching live. I couldn't believe they didn't call it a TD, and I'm glad they overturned it on replay because it was the right call. I haven't watched the broadcast of the game yet so I don't know what angles they had, but he was clearly in. There's a picture of him going in over the pylon from the OWH photographers. The GLARING error on the refs was that delay of game penalty they called on us. YOSHI WAS STILL ON THE FIELD when they wound the clock, and he didn't make his way off the field until the clock was what, halfway down? I was watching him walk off the field and not even paying attention to the clock until we lined up, and it was already way down. Bonehead mistake by the refs, and when we told them, they didn't fix it. I am glad it was the right call. I am all for getting it right. From the replays shown I didn't think they had the correct angle to overturn the call. I would call it inconclusive due to the angle. I stand corrected on the fumble, but is it where the ball hits the ground or where he starts juggling the ball? I thought it hit the ground at the sticks.
  23. Wisconsin game is 3 games away. Time to focus on UDUB.
