  1. Not sure about KU fans,....but the local BBQ's will be excited
  2. Pelini hasn't been particularly friendly to husker fans over the years? thats a joke right? if not, maybe you'd like the friendly Callahan back. Husker fans who think Pelini is mean probably also like the new rules that have made defensive "hitting" in football a penalty and think Suh is a dirty player who should take anger management classes- ...BTW not a direct attack on you, because I feel that you're joking and YOU don't believe that
  3. It is painfully apparent that you don't have the foggiest idea what happened or there is no way you could say he's a classy guy that made an honest mistake. Please go to some of the other threads here, find a link to the grand jury report, read it, and then see if you still feel he is such a classy guy. He could've and should've taken action that would have prevented further harm to an untold number of other children. What he did instead cannot even be classified as human let alone an honest mistake. Save your pity for the young boys who were harmed, their parents, and all of the innocent PSU fans, players, and students who will ultimately be paying the price for what some of these soulless individuals did or failed to do. its the guys opinion and frankly a valid opinion. you, him, nor I have any way of knowing what actually happened at all and yes ive read the report. im not saying that joe is innocent but i cant say that he is guilty without a shred of doubt either. innocent until PROVEN guilty as they say. imo the heat should definitely be on sandusky but i question whether joe should have been fired considering that he did everything that was required to do from his employer. it doesnt matter that it was immoral and wrong, the fact that he met the guidelines for his job at that particular point in time. jmo. Ok I have to be done with this because if people don't think that he should have been fired because he did "what was required" then this world is further in the toilet then I thought! I'm sure if it was your kid getting butt raped you would be over joyed that somebody only did what was required. Back to football thats not what i said. take out the fact that it was a child molestation case. lets say in your job you saw someone stealing money so you went and reported it to your boss. your boss then decides to not do the right thing and tell his boss so they can turn it in. so then you get blamed and fired even though you did your job. you would then be able to file unemployment for wrongful firing as well as very likely getting a large sum for the same thing in court. my point of view has nothing to do with the actions that were committed but rather the basis of someone doing their job as required. never in that did i or anyone else say that a kid getting "butt raped" (insensitive to the subject obviously) would be ok. reading comprehension is using taught starting as young as 4 years old..... You need to look at your comparison- JoePa and anyone else that knew (and the report says he did know, as early as 2004, probably a long time before that) should have been canned and pelted with rocks and garbage for knowningly allowing that creep to continue to visit the campus and be involved with boys- 8 years of knowing- 8 years of kids that could be getting buggered and not a question, or call to the cops-who, but a souless ego-driven D-head could sleep at night knowing that kids are getting their childhood and life destroyed when you had eight years to stop it? the guy is as guilty as the perv as far as I can see, and any comparison to money theft shouldn't even be in the conversation- This is as close to murder as it gets- not some petty theft deal
  4. anyone prior to the start of the season who thought we would lose less than 3 games this season wasn't being honest about what our team had going in (or just a mindless sunshine pumper) This loss doesn't change my 8-4 pre-season prediction, maybe not where we want to be but it's where we're at- next year should be a little better
  5. BTW not sure if any other SoCal huskers remember the good old days...... you know Vern's in Fullerton, ahh yes nothing like Vern's runny scrabbled eggs (9:00AM games), bathroom lines and the thrill of never knowing if Vern's dish would find that one station east of the Rockies that was carrying the game which of course would lead to listening to the game on the radio
  6. Danny K's will be open at 8:30- its in the city of Orange
  7. I heard it from a good source that Kyler has a condition known as SOD and might require transduodenal shpincteroplasty surgery
  8. we learned that the coaching staff is finally doing something to limit the damage Fisher does to our defence when he's on the field- also learned that they haven't learned that about other non-tackling DB's
  9. And you say that because? I'm clueless to what your view really is. I don't think you're smart enough to understand. C'mon man, really? Just because you aren't capable of providing a supported rebuttal doesn't mean it's ok to make one-line derogatory attacks. I'm just as big a fan as you and was posting my thoughts. Despite graduating number from from my class and having a post-graduate degree, I would never come on this site or any other and attack someone else's intellect. you really don't get Bo do you? thats ok there are coaches like callahan you can follow, or online video games
  10. when they're douchebags it is- the rest of the media knows the OWH reporters are douches thats why the cheered Bo

nothing wrong with Beck's play calling? really? so you admit TM rarely if ever, checks down and Beck still calls pass plays- maybe thats not bad play calling but it is the definition of insanity- oh and passing the ball with under two minutes to go in the half was a classic sign of "bad play calling" When you have a QB that throws the ball like a kid skipping rocks, having wide open WR's isn't the problem, the problem starts when you call a pass play. That's the definition of a terrible quarterback. You can't run the ball 100% of the time, the D will eventually stuff it and then people like you will bitch about why Beck isn't calling passing plays. Martinez is an athlete playing QB and he severely limits the potential of this offense. We have way too many weapons to sputter like we did last night. My retort was directed at Becks playcalling, not the fact that we have a Kid who throws like a girl playing QB- and in this game we would have been better off running 100% of the time, hence my opinion that Beck called a terrible game- at the very least, throwing the ball before halftime was just plain dumb. Becks playcalling reminded me of callahan, and thats not a good thought- TM at QB? there are plenty of other threads on that insanity

  13. Throw in Marlowe and why we can't recruit a QB and I'm with you. We recruited a great QB- he's getting about 4 touches a game playing WR
  14. He did and Johnson "teaches" the long air-ball throw- when the safety is up on man coverage throw a rainbow
  15. not sure if a 60% Dennard is any better than a 100% Green, I guess we're going to see if it is by Wisconsin
  16. I saw it tody and have seen it last year- Rex sucks at pass-protection, not sure why, as he seems to do everything else he's asked- maybe thats why we saw the other backs more today, I'm not sure but I think they came in after Rex whiffed on a pass-block that almost got TM beheaded

    QB?

So leading the team with a 150 YPG and 8.9 YPC average you would suggest TM is being a ballhog? I hope you were drinking when you wrote that
  18. I've learned its cool to say TM is a bad passer and wreak waiting to happen while overlooking the multiple big plays he made, and I've also learned that other than David our LB's suck overlooking the fact that Compton made as many tackles as David.....yes I learned all this from this thread and not the game, however I thought that that's ok because alot of the stuff people seemed to have learned from the recent game wasn't accurate either. Oh yeah one last thing, we all should have learned that calling out a safety (Cassidy)because of some sort of bias, sometimes comes back to bite you in the arse- how many of you here said similar things about O'Hanlon after the VT game in 2008-?
  19. Mmmm . . . 'bagger talk. nice reply....commie talk
  20. god are you all socialists? someone on this board must make over 150k and not be a guilty white liberal weenie- BTW that chart is so wrong- its hard to continue without laughing .... simpletons and talking points
  21. This horse is long dead, but Ganz was not better than Keller for the offense we intended to run in 2007. Keller was better at throwing the timed passes, and it showed glaringly in the Spring Game. Ganz was by far a better runner, and when Keller went down we used Ganz the way he should have been used, which overall was more effective. There was locker-room dissension, but there I agree with you - if you don't like the guy suiting up next to you, tough. Go out and play. That didn't happen for Keller, and it didn't happen for Martinez last year with all the guys. I have zero sympathy for guys like that, though. Fair enough... I've blocked out most of the 2007 season. I don't remember the spring game at all, I just remember that Ganz seemed overall more productive than Keller when he got his chance. He threw a lot of interceptions, and his play didn't exactly lead us to any more wins, but we weren't getting shut down to the same extent as early on in the season, if I remember correctly. Maybe it had more to do with the level of defenses we were facing. What is most likely to be true is that Keller should never have come, we should have tailored the offense to Ganz's skills, and most everyone would have been at least on the same page, if not happy. Sadly, none of that would have fixed the disaster that was the Cosgrove defense, which, as it turns out, was probably a blessing, however painful it may have been. For all the grief people give Keller, he may have, indirectly at least, been the catalyst that eventually ousted Callahan. then we need a Keller throphy to honor this great feat- long live Keller
  22. wisky fans will be equal to KSU fans- never really won anything except the big 10, not much past success but think they're all that-tOSU might be bigger ahole fans but at least they've won something past and present
  23. TO baring some fangs! I have a pretty hard time believing Dr. Tom actually forgot the name of the Victory Bell...although it is (was?) also called the Missouri-Nebraska Bell. Interesting little display of venom from Osborne, I thought. funny there was an article from a Chicago writer that thought Osborne was referring to Texas- big 10 writers have a lot to learn
  24. A means of preserving foods and access to electricity and presumably running water completely shifts the focus of the discussion. Compared to Africa, we're not even talking about poverty anymore. When you can throw in cable TV and a car, we're off the grid to the point where American poverty would be something to aspire to in third world countries. That's apples and oranges though. The only people who really live like a third world country here would have to be homeless. We have certain expectations that go hand in hand with living in a developed, modern nation. Things like electricity and running water, and refrigerators. and a dvd player and a cell phone and welfare debit cards that are accepted at Subways and newer cars and two tv's- sorry I don't really think that is poor or deserving of my taxes-
