melscott62
so he's fair game right? If he gets his classes we could bring him here, couldn't we? Quote Link to comment
DJR313
so he's fair game right? Rumor has it, Amoco and Quick Trip are currently fighting for his services. Seriously, why bother with this :asshat If he had stuck with his plan to come here, he probably would have been watched over better and ended up qualifying. Quote Link to comment
txdrdubya
according to UW's website, he's listed at 240, sounds like a center now to me. Have another crispy cream Ashlee. :hmmm Quote Link to comment

Not to mention he would probably be seeing some serious PT. He made a poor decision and now he is paying for it. Quote Link to comment

huskered17
I like prospects that are excited when they are offered and want to be Huskers. This kid was neither. I wouldn't want us to waste the time on him. We seem to be able to recruit now with the best of them. There will be more Ashlee Palmer's out there next year. GBR!!! Quote Link to comment

skersfan
Get the grades, maintain them for a semester then talk to him. This is an academic responsiblity, not just here to play football. No dedication now, not likely to change. If he does, give him the chance, no more carrots. Quote Link to comment
BIGREDFAN_in_OMAHA
Thanks, but no thanks. He had his chance. Quote Link to comment
Spartness
Accept him only as a walkon, and he would have to prove himself. I don't like the fact he is up to about 240 -- he must be a blob of fat. Not good. Quote Link to comment
melscott62
first of all we have no idea if the 240 is correct. a lot of coaches lie about that. secondly even if it was he has all year to get in shape, and it shouldn't be that hard. when I played college basketball I would come in every season weighing around 195. by christmas I would be at 170. and I DIDNT WANT to lose weight. he sould be able to shed that easily. lastly, this kid just made a mistake. he didn't do anything BAD. no beat up girl friend, no assualt charges, no restisting arrest(all things past players have done and it was OK) to me take him asa a walk on, if he gets himself in shape, gets his grades, and earns a postition, give him a scholarship. the guy is very talented, and would start for us this year, and would proably next year if we took him Quote Link to comment
