AF_Husker
In our only away game this season, we saw a gameplan that everyone questioned; run the ball. Do you think it might be a smart gameplan vs ISU, or do you think we'll plan to go against their poor secondary defense.... It seems obvious to us that we would attack their defensive backfield, but how many times have things appeared obvious to us fans, but Cally did something totally different? So what do you think Cally will do and what would you want us to do? Quote Link to comment
I See Red People
Why not stick with what has worked best so far. Try to establish the run to open up play action. What's more important I'd say is what happens if ISU defends the run well. Then it's flea flicker time, lol. Quote Link to comment
hskrfan4life
i say exploit the poor secondary Quote Link to comment
strigori
given the success NIU had with the dink and dunk method, I wouldnt be suprised to see alot of the short passing patterns to set everything else up 1 Quote Link to comment
General Blackshirt
it doesn't matter what we think, it matters what Bill Callahan thinks, and in his previous 2 games vs. ISU, we have averaged 19 more pass plays per game than run plays.... let me go out on a limb and say Callahan sees something in their secondary that he really likes... DaveH
I expect to throw the ball, based on previous game plans. However, look for him to establish the run early as per usual. Gotta see how gooey the defense really is or is not. Quote Link to comment
DJR313
I think they will start off with a pretty even mix of run/pass, then let the play action open up the middle and then its going to become an aerial assault. Receivers better have some new gloves on saturday. Quote Link to comment

gamecocks
As I said in another post, the team that establishes the running game and can control the clock will probally win the game. I think we have a better chance at that because not only of our four backs plus our short passing game is also a key contributor to controling the clock. Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
I don't care how we get it done just win!!! Quote Link to comment
Eric the Red
In our only away game this season, we saw a gameplan that everyone questioned; run the ball. It seems obvious to us that we would attack their defensive backfield, but how many times have things appeared obvious to us fans, but Cally did something totally different? So what do you think Cally will do and what would you want us to do? This has got to count for something.....Air Nebraska The Cyclones rank 95th in the nation in total defense and are 108th against the pass, allowing 252.6 yards a game. WOW, we should play very well against these guys. Quote Link to comment
HUSKERJIMMY
I see them trying to establish the run and I see no reason why NU can't chew up clock and get them to cheat up, then open it up......the run in this offense sets everything else up + keeps ISU off the field.....so don't be surprised at first to see majority of run plays. Also, if Glenn is going to have a great game I see this game having huge potential for him with his physical style, he should be able to keep the chains moving. Quote Link to comment
Pedro Guerrero
I think we will run some and pass some. We will have to score more then them to win. (I think it is stupid when people say this) The defense will play a lot of 4-3 with some zone and man coverages. Quote Link to comment
