1) How long have you been a member of Husker Nation? 40 years (pretty sure I heard Lyell Bremser in the womb)

2) What/who led you to The Nation? Born a Husker

3) Where are you from originally? Leigh, NE

4) Where do you live now? Tulsa, OK

5) Favorite Husker memory? My first Husker game, 11/2/1982, getting to watch Gill, Rozier, Craig, Fryar and company beat OU. Even though we were ranked 3rd and OU 11th, the Goal Posts still came down.

6) Worst Husker memory? 9/15/2007 looking at the aerial shot of Memorial Stadium in the 3rd Quarter and the Sea of Red was looking like empty seats (USC game)…

7) Number of home games attended? 4 or 5

8) Number of away games attended? 2

9) Favorite Husker memorabilia/apparel? 1994 championship t-shirt

10) Favorite place to watch a Husker game? (section in Memorial, bar, friends house etc.) In my living room.

11) Favorite all time player? Brook Berringer. He could have run the WCO, but made a very nice option QB and led his team to a NC while Tommie recovered. That was a guy full of talent and heart. He didn’t cry when he didn’t play much as a senior or quit like a lot of our players do now.

12) WCO or Option? The WCO is cool, because we still run the ball, but can recruit talent to pass and catch the ball. AS an “Option” team, we rarely got good receivers.

13) Stevie Pederson or Billy Byrne? Tom Osborne

14) Lil Red or Herbie Husker? Herbie. If I’m not mistaken, Lil Red came about not too long after we played OSU in b-ball when Big Country was there and we came out with a anti mascot called Big Country Dork and it looked just like Lil’ Red, so I have a hard time falling in love with a Dork.

15) Favorite Husker play? Fumblerooski and Bouncearooski

16) Favorite game-day beverage? Red Beer

1) How long have you been a member of Husker Nation?

Since the day I was born....Jan. 1, 1983....the day NU beat LSU in the Orange Bowl. Really started becoming a fan in the early nineties, 90/91

My first experience in the Sea of Red, Nebraska vs. Missouri, 1996, the other favorite memory is the Nebraska vs. Florida Fiesta Bowl, all of the hype leading up to it, and such a Nebraska dominated game, all game long!

Besides the USC game last night? KSU @ NU in 2003(?), I was able to be at that game, what a dissapointment!

7) Number of home games attended?

5

8) Number of away games attended?

Since birth in 1958. My mom was pregant with me in the fall, so I probably heard my first game in utero.

2) What/who led you to The Nation?

Native son

3) Where are you from originally?

5) Favorite Husker memory?

Probably being in the stadium as a student in 1978 when Osborne got his first win against Oklahoma, 17-14. OU was ranked No. 1 coming in.

Also got a sideline pass for the 2001 Iowa State game, so was on the field for one of my favorite game rituals: The players running through the band as it plays "Hail Varsity." And I was about five yards from the end zone pylon when Crouch smashed an ISU defender and scored a touchdown that set the NCAA career record for rushing TDs by a QB.

Colorado game in '01. It's never been the same since.

7) Number of home games attended?

34

8) Number of away games attended?

Seven, including both Alamo Bowls

9) Favorite Husker memorabilia/apparel?

Shirt from after '94 season, when the team slogan was "Unfinished Business" because they came a field goal short of winning the national championship the year before against Florida State. The "Un" is crossed out, so it's "finished business."

10) Favorite place to watch a Husker game? (section in Memorial, bar, friends house etc.)

Anywhere in Memorial Stadium

11) Favorite all time player?

Tommy Frazier or Johnny Rodgers

12) WCO or Option?

Neither

14) Lil Red or Herbie Husker?

Herbie!! He's a Nebraska boy.

15) Favorite Husker play?

That sweep pitch to the I back was sweet for so long ... and Schlessinger scoring twice on the same play against Miami in the '95 Orange Bowl (end of '94 season), running right by a worn-out Warren Sapp.

1) How long have you been a member of Husker Nation?

I believe "Husker Nation" is a phrase that Steve Pedersen dreamed up when starting the stadiums fund raising campaign in 2003. I think it's his sorry appraoach to starting a new tradition. However, I have been a die-hard fan since I can remember watching my first games in the late 80's/early 90's.

I just started watching games with family and have been hooked since.

12) WCO or Option?

Option! The red and white freight train!

13) Stevie Pederson or Billy Byrne?

Lots of success and good memories under Bill Byrne. Steve Pederson seems arrogant and has made many bad decisions (IMO).

Old version of Herbie. The new berbie looks like a frickin lumber jack! Lil' Red is a fricken blow up doll, give me a break!
