Eric the Red
Lee the new Husker QB player is on crutches and may miss spring ball. Looks like a redshirt is eminent. He has 4 years to play 3 Quote Link to comment
strigori
Wonder what happened to him. I think the redshirt is a good thing anyway, gives him time to learnt he offense. Keller with Ganz as the backup looks like the set-up for next year Quote Link to comment
rawhide
His last CC game included a knee injury if I'm not mistaken. Quote Link to comment
huskerguy
damn I hope this doesnt hurt his mobility... we didnt need this for his learning process but hopefully this gives him time to just get the termonolgy down. Quote Link to comment
Drowning_in_the_Sea_of_Red
Doesnt sound like its too serious......at least he doesnt seem to think so.... QB Lee limping In addition to Daniel Lee, junior college transfer quarterback Zac Lee (no relation) arrived at Nebraska this past weekend for the start of the spring semester — on crutches. Zac Lee said Monday he plans to be ready to participate in spring practice. “I’m going to be fine — it’s nothing major at all,” said the 6-2, 200-pound athlete from City College of San Francisco, who injured his knee Dec. 9 against El Camino College. He declined to elaborate on the injury. Lee was among six new Husker scholarship players to enroll mid-term. He joined two high school players, quarterback Patrick Witt and running back Marcus Mendoza, and fellow juco transfers Larry Asante (safety), Armando Murillo (cornerback) and Shukree Barfield (defensive tackle). “We’re kind of like our own little class,” said Witt, of Wylie, Texas, a straight-A student in high school whose NU courses include analytical geometry and calculus II. link Quote Link to comment
husker rob
i think that he and Witt will prolly redshirt this year anyway to learn the system. but the article does seem to say that it is not that serious. lets hope so for his sake. Quote Link to comment
melscott62
best case senario in my opinion. to me I think this will be our first bigtime QB. I think keller will be good, but this guy will be unreal. Quote Link to comment
hack
Wonder what happened to him. keller went all 'Tonya Harding' on him? Quote Link to comment
papersun87
He and Patty Witt were probably going to redshirt anyway, at least I assumed. Quote Link to comment
gamecocks
I kind of figured that Lee would see some action next year if he were to beat out Ganz for number 2 (assuming Keller is 1). Missing spring ball doesn't mean that he will for sure redshirt but he will be behind the other quarterbacks in reps anyways. Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
These guys will need a year to learn our system anyways. At least it doesn't sound too serious....... Quote Link to comment
HANC
Has anyone actually read or heard that he is "doubtful" for spring ball...... the feeling on "Big Red Wrap up" last night was that this didn't seem to be a big deal, and that Lee was going to be fine....no elaboration on the injury, but speculation that he probably had it "scoped"..... I got the feeling that they expected him to be ready for spring ball... I don't see him red-shirting at all........makes no sense..... I honestly think that BC was scared to death that ZT was going to get hurt this year....God Bless Ganz, but let's be honest.... I think BC will be more comfortable having 2 capable QB's ready this season.... and if he is smart (in question ), he will make sure that Lee gets plenty of reps next season, preparing him for a 2 year run as starter Red-shirt Witt and begin a cycle of potential 2 yr-starters..... mjmartin1970
Hildebrand, Brian QB 6-2 195 So. Corona, Calif. (Mt. San Antonio) (Corona) (Oregon St.) I noticed this guy isn't being mentioned in the QB race AND was not mentioned in the LJS article about QBs. What happened to him? I thought he was a 3 to play 2 guy that redshirted this year. Quote Link to comment
