Ha ha ha. My friend thinks this is the true story. This is the only one he has told me so I trust him. Plus, I've known him for over 50 years and he has the contacts.

I'm inclined to be optimistic about your rumors mostly because you don't come on here like that blowhard IBR and try to bait everyone into patting you on the back. Where has the guy been, anyway, since nothing happened about Callahan? Your attitute, on the other hand, seems about accurate for a person who really is in the know. What does it matter to you if people believe you or not? It'll either be confirmed in 8 days, or it won't. IBR's biggest problem was that he cried everytime someone said something to disparage his rumors.

 

Anyway, thanks for the tip. I'm not a strong believer in rumors in general, but it puts my soul at ease to know that it's probable Callahan will be fired and Pelini might be the guy coming in.

Tom Osborne has finalized his actual plans: it turns out that they SAVED BOB DEVANEY'S BRAIN!

 

his brain been installed inside a 9ft robot that looks like Lil' Red and he will now be called the DEVANANATOR 5000 XL. the Devananator will have the same bouncing characteristics of Lil' Red but sound like a cylon when it talks. plus the Devananator will have the ablity to shoot hotdogs and t-shirts into the stands during halftime.

 

Bob Devaney will have his third national championship...FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE!!!

The story I've been given is that certain people were agreed to by Bo and Tom. Many of the staff will be Bo's sole choice. Tom thinks Bo reminds him of Devaney in his early years and they seem to get along well. Anyway, they are working together to bring in a staff for Bo. Most of it will be decided after Bo is announced HC.

 

This isn't just another made up post. The information comes via an old friend with statewide influence and University connections. It could be a bunch of crap but I think my friend is well connected enough that it probably is factual. When the AD was cut lose he got word to me about it well before the press conference announcement.

 

Sorry, you'll have to wait at least 8 more days before you know for sure.

I see what you are saying Wally. My main point was that it struck me odd that a potential head coach would agree to his assistants, without the authority to interview his personal preferences.

 

As much as I enjoy a good Pelini Circus thread, I will cut you some slack. I think you mean well.
