huskers13
Im hearing on Rivals that Edgar Bennett will be the new RB coach Link Quote Link to comment
agibson95
I would say that this possibilities of are slim to none. Why leave Green Bay for Nebraska? Quote Link to comment
Danimal
Rathman has Neb-ties and wouldn't come here to be rb-coach why would Bennett? I think either would come to try their hand at OC, but not to be a position-coach. If this is somehow true he'd be a hell of a hire, would he get running-game coordinator/assistant-HC or anything? I've heard that ex-KSU co-OC Greg Peterson is in the mix, he sounds more realistic. Quote Link to comment
Hunter94
i agree, can't imagine Bennett would come here as a postion coach. Quote Link to comment
REDSTEEL
Was'nt Edgar Bennet a running back for florida St or Miami in College? Quote Link to comment
huskerbatt52
Florida St., I believe. Quote Link to comment
huskers13
It says he is in his seventh season with Green Bay so he might be a good friend of Pelini when he was the LB coach there Quote Link to comment
dbetz23
Doesn't hurt to ask/offer. Quote Link to comment
HuskerRob
so is randy jordan pretty much finished? i kno that earlier this week people were speculating that he would be returning...but it seems that as time goes on, it becomes more clear that he's gone. Quote Link to comment
loperdog78
Doesn't hurt to ask/offer. Jordan's out. LJS posting: http://www.journalstar.com/blog/huskers.ph...p;pb=1#comments Quote Link to comment
admo
Not trying to knock Jordan down, but I think the talent at RB is amazing. And these guys just do not recognize a cutback if the hole was 10 feet wide. Plus, not much leg emphasis in order to pile drive ahead & break open field tackles. He's a good guy, but a new coach might bring in a different perspective. Quote Link to comment
huskerguy
Any way of finding out what big schools have turned down the Huskers for non-conference games? I remember we used to play Alabama, Penn State, and Michigan. If Jordans gone, Lucky is prolly now gone.... hopefully not, but who knows I hope Lucky stays around he could really benefit. billglassingshan
I think Marlon stays. He didn't leave last year after the departure of John Blake. From everything I've heard or read, they were very close. I don't know about his relationship with Jordan. I guess time will tell. Quote Link to comment
hastingshusker
I always wondered if it was Jordans coaching or Callahan that would not let the RBs make cuts. It seemed to me that Bjax started to do well when he actually started making cuts. I never knew for sure but always kinda wondered. Quote Link to comment
