Landlord
Holy crap we are going to totally dominate with 13 players on offense! Hell yeah! Quote Link to comment
Husker stuck at kstate
Baker will be on the defensive side of the ball Quote Link to comment
zoogs
Our O-line should be stocked next year. We have a lot of high-potential guys coming off redshirt freshman years, and a lot of returners. I don't know if C is going to be Henry's; that said quite a few of the O-line jobs seem up for grabs. I think most of the current O-line recruits are going to redshirt...Baker? Maybe not, but I'm not sure he'll start either. At C, I think Jacob Hickman may push for the starting job (he had some looks there last year, no?) Burkes, I remember he got a lot of PT at the end, but I don't know where. I'd look for him to start or at least have a lot of PT this year...he's got a lot of athleticism. Huff will be back at Guard (starting? perhaps?) DJ Jones will be a RSo, Marcel Jones will be a RFr, Mike Smith will be a RSo, Keith Williams will be a Rso. Lydon Murtha will be back, probably starting at RT as he did last year. And Cruz Barrett somewhere in there. So that's not counting any of this year's incoming OL. There's a lot of OL movement and Cotton may have a different teaching philosophy, so who knows what kind of movement we'll see? I'd appreciate it if anyone had some deeper insight. Jarred, I believe Christensen is gone? Quote Link to comment
huskersals24
The O Line is stacked. I wouldn't be shocked if it looked like this: LT: Burkes 2nd LT: Marcel Jones LG: Huff 2nd LG: Keith Williams C: Hickman 2nd C: Henry or Mike Smith RG: Slauson 2nd RG: Cruz Barrett RT: Murtha 2nd Rt: DJ Jones Sals Quote Link to comment
Jarred04
Christensen is very much NOT gone. He will be a RS senior this year, and will possibly have a medical redshirt after that. He tore his ACL at the USC game last year and was our starting RG. He could also play center in the future. He is a friend of mine. Quote Link to comment
zoogs
Ah, okay...dang, the Huskers.com roster is driving me crazy, half of the player years are updated and half are not. Actually, maybe they're all updated but the graduated seniors are still there as seniors. What do you mean he may have a medical redshirt *after that?* Given the medical redshirt, he may count as a RS Junior this coming year and so have two more years to play with us? Jarred04
yes, sorry, I guess that would make him a RS Junior going into next year. He told me he would have two more years. Here's hoping he stays healthy. Wagner always said he was our most versatile lineman. We'll see. Quote Link to comment
