I have never seen them do it, but apparently it has been gonig on for a long time. I heard a student from Nebraska instituted the tradition, but I was wondering if the Huskers use this song? Are any of you familiar with the song? Just checking to see if anyone knows anything? Quote Link to comment

If they do, a couple of friends and one relative of mine who were all in the band failed to mention it. Granted, they were all in the band in the 90s, so this could be a new thing. I've never heard of this song. I am pretty sure the KU band didn't make up the song. I heard that a long time ago a kid from Nebraska liked to sing the song, and it became a band tradition to join him. I have no idea if that is the right story. I don;t think it is meant to demean Nebraska, and it is catchy. I hum it all the time now.... Quote Link to comment
