huskerguy
... complete the sentence with something that you think will be crucial in the game (try and stay away from obvious things like uhh score more points, score over 40 pts, etc...) We Will Beat VT if... ...Mike McNeil can stretch the defense in our passing game. Quote Link to comment
Drowning_in_the_Sea_of_Red
We will beat VT if... We can avoid being Beamer Ball'd. Quote Link to comment
n.e.husker
....If our O-line keeps Lee upright and opens holes for the backs. ....and the D containing Tyrod would be nice also. Quote Link to comment
Scarlet Overkill
If the Husker D finds a way to force Tyrod to pass. Probably not going to happen, but I can dream VT's running game gets shut down, can't I? Why, yes! Yes I can! Quote Link to comment
Twodocs
the Big 12 officals hang some payback calls and lay a few unsportmanmlike calls when the VT coaches go beserk over the lousy calls. Since, the only reason they beat us was they had the ACC officals when they needed them the most!!! just sayin they may not have the ACC refs to hand them the game on a silver platter! huskerjack23
Lee and co. keep the ball with the guys in white. Quote Link to comment
Blackshirt316
There's a higher number next to the NU than there is next to the VT once the game is over. Quote Link to comment
IceMan
Stuff the lanes and get pressure on Tyrod! Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
If we keep Tyrod inside the ends and contain him. Quote Link to comment
TheCheshireCat
STOP THE RUN. Quote Link to comment
Husker_x
Keep the turnover margin neutral and avoid special teams mistakes. Quote Link to comment
BlackShirt1340
.... the defense force Tyrod to pass. If they stuff the run and require Taylor to put the game on his throwing arm, it is OVER, chalk it up as a victory. There is no way they win without the running game. Mark my words. ..... Oh yeah... unless we get the Sh#t Beamer Ball'd out of us.... Then I will stare at the tv for three days like this... Quote Link to comment
huskerfan711
the D plays mistake free football. Quote Link to comment
JTrain
Hold them to less than five big plays (20+ yards), hold them to less than four ypc, and don't let them block any punts or score on any returns. Quote Link to comment
JTrain
Last year, the game was basically decided on two plays in the first quarter. First, they blocked a punt in the endzone for a safety. Then, Ganz made a poor decision trying to throw over one of the best corners in the nation (Macho Harris) in our own territory, giving them the ball at our five yard line which quickly led to a TD. After that we played them very evenly, and there's no reason to think we can't do the same this time. Quote Link to comment
