Why is OU ranked? .500 record. It can't be for the wins. Idaho State, the winless team from the D-1AA Big Sky conference, or for Tulsa.

Doesn't make sense to me either dude. 2-2 and still ranked.

I made pretty good guess on that. The only two teams i got wrong in my prediction were Auburn and Notre Dame.

Wow, the polls this week are god awful. Iowa moves up to 12th after suffering during a game against stAte. Oklahoma stays above us with two awful wins and worse losses than we do. Boise moves down below Va Tech who struggles with a mediocre Duke Squad. Cincinnati moves up when clearly overrated.

Fairly useless statistic. Prior to last night OU was ranked #1 in the nation in scoring defense and they still lost to Miami who was 87th in the Nation in Scoring Offense. The point of this is just because you have an average number of points scored against you, it is just an average. You can give up 28 points in 1 game and 0 in the next 3 and have an average of 7 points per game. Bad part about this is that the game you have up 28 points you might have only scored 21 points and that means a loss.

Don't get yourself too caught up in statistics at this point in the season.

More reasoning why the polls shouldn't come out until the 4th or 5th week of the season. Teams that start out at the top and lose and get back up there more easily than a team can start up out of it and get up to the top. What I find hilarious is the coaches poll this week, Missouri moves up 5 spots from 23 to 18 without playing, and we only move up 2. NU needs to win this week to show that we can 1. Beat a ranked team and 2. Win a big game on the road. Look for NU to jump into the top 15 with a win, and drop out of the top 25 with a loss.

Its all an evil plot. They HAVE to keep Iowa high in the polls so Michigan can beat another "quality team" next week and vault itself past Nebraska in the polls. I hate to say it but as bad as Michigan is, Iowa is even worse. Don't you realize that is how they keep the Big 10 teams in the polls? :thumbs The Badgers are the joke of Wisconsin this year, and they're even peeking into the Top 25, because they're running out of ranked teams. LOL

We need to schedule some Big 10 teams to play so we can get that "not beaten a ranked team since xxxx" monkey off our backs. Think about it.....its a perfect plan. heh heh heh......

I agree about Thurs. we need to take care of business.

The NBC announcers were talking about how legendary the win was. :rollin:rollin BTW I didnt think that a couple offensive linemen could push the ball carrier and a pile ten yards for a score. Maybe I am mistaken but isnt there a rule against that?

Yeah, it's a rule, but I never see it called anymore though. Remember the Bush Push?

ARTICLE 2.

b. The runner shall not grasp a teammate; and no other player of his team
