Anyway, Leach is a good coach. Is he perfect? Nope, but he's the best man for the Tech job. And his lengthy tenure as Tech's head coach is paying dividends in recruiting. Tech will take another step-up in program quality beginning next year and over the next 2-3 years, especially on the defensive side of the ball. 100% Correct. Both take ZERO crap from anyone. Both are not afraid to kick players off of the team for violations of team rules . . . no matter how important the players are. Both are clearly concerned about academics. Both will speak their mind . . . even when they should bite their tongues. Maybe we could hire Leach as an offensive coordinator . . . hmmmm. I will give the guy his props as a coach, offensively at least, but not a real big fan of him as a guy. I'll buy Raiderfans' explanation of TTU running it up on DONU because they owed us one, but Leach doesn't reserve such humiliation for rivals as others have pointed out. The whole media things is a little wierd, as is M Leach. I'll like him a little more if he just looks confused on the sidelines on Saturday! GBR Quote Link to comment

Back when Nebraska was beating the sh#t out of teams, the 3rd and 4th strings came in along with the towel boys. If teams couldn't stop us running up the gut with our scrubs in, that's their problem. Maybe it's just me but he has always come accross to me as reptilian in nature and looked like he belonged on one of those 1-800 Personal injury commercials. That combined with never playing a down of football and a lack of knowledge on the fundamentals of defense make me dislike his resume. 2. Leach conducts himself like a backwoods hick in his speech, body language and mannerisms. There is obviously a fundamental lack of serious respect between the coach and his players which has been demonstrated in the past and plays out for everyone to see when many of the players look and act like prison yard thugs. This makes me dislike him as a person. 3. With arrogance that makes Kanye West look modest. Leach leads his team to 84-7 wins over Division II schools echoing the mantra, "I'm just running my offense." Running up the score on anyone his Red Raiders get an advantage, showing a complect lack of sportsmanship and general respect of others combined with his loose handle on his players makes me dislike Mike Leach the coach. Please, share your opinions. That backwoods hick went to Pepperdine. A school so snobby, USC thinks it should get off its high horse.
