Fuzzy
Doesn't some of this poor play fall on the play caller? It does but people find it easier to pick on Lee. Quote Link to comment
HuskerInLostWages
I'm just amazed that all we have at receiver right now are people that couldn't catch a cold. I wont put all the blame on Lee, our receivers are atrocious. These kids should never set foot on the field after the way they've been playing their Div 1 position. We have zero in regards to a consistent receiver and that in itself is pathetic. If we can't pass, we can't run. If we can't run we can't pass simply due to our receivers not being able to catch a mother f'in ball. Bench the receivers and pull some women and children from the crowd, I bet they'd show our receivers up almost immediately. Quote Link to comment
NU fan in Denver
Let's please see Green in the 2nd half. Why? Lee is playng really well. He is not the one dropping the balls. Lee is only buying time. He has thrown some bad balls today. I really hope Green starts the 2nd half or we may not score again in this game offensively because Lee can't sustain a drive. Besides the pass to Gilly and the pass to that invisible guy on that last drive, what passes are you referring to? Zac is 14-22 for 181, and we have 250 yards of total offense. We have been fine on offense, besides the fact we have become mental midgets and had terrible luck. 7 points against ISU at home!!!!!! That's fine? Dude, look at the turnovers. We have had the ball and moved it at will on these guys. But we have kicked ourselves in our own ass. The offense is fine. We just need to stop being careless with the ball. It's Iowa State and we are losing @ have. We have scored 7 points. The O is not fine. Quote Link to comment
chamrocck
The offense has no spark. Make a change to give it one. Does anyone else think it's stupid running the option with Lee? He's no threat to run, so it seems like a dumb choice to me. What happened to all the heavy sets and running the ball that we heard about all week? Bingo...the option with Lee is a lame play. Dude has been pretty on today, but it seems like you remember the bad ones besides the good throws he has made today. Zac is 14-22 for 181, and we have 250 yards of total offense. We have been fine on offense, besides the fact we have become mental midgets and had terrible luck. He hasn't been that pretty. To go along with it he has thrown 2 behind Meno, 1 behind Gillyen, and 1 low to Paul. Sure they should have been caught but with the time he is getting they should be thrown better. Yeah, someone explain the Niles Paul fumble. You're a D-1 athlete, one of the most athletic people in the world, and you can't manage to hold on to the football and run forward? Completely unbelievable. It's all in the little things. Lee's not terribly accurate, receivers are constantly trying to make moves before they have the ball. It's just a mess. This offensive staff baffles me with their product. Quote Link to comment

Again....Iowa state at home. I don't care about the excuses. 7 points is unacceptable. Just like the inability to score TD's in the Virginia tech game was unacceptable regardless of how many yards we had. Quote Link to comment

gthogan
So what does everyone think? What's our biggest issue on offense now that the coaches have had a chance to "fix things" since last week. Scoring points. Quote Link to comment
redout22
7 points against an ISU in one half is pathetic. Quote Link to comment
BigWillie
He has underthrown, missed, and put the ball in the wrong spot several times. His pass to McNeill that led to an int. Also missed him wide open earlier in the game. I'm just not going to let one good pass to Paul let me forget that most of his passes today are behind the line or short to his WR with them making the catch and run. He does not have the confidence and drive to let us score on a regular basis and is clearly not the guy that will give us a big 12 title. So what about the timing throw to Kinnie early in the game he rifled in? Or the deep throw to Niles he put on the money? Or the throw he led McNeil with to get us inside the 10? See, the thing is, you expect Lee to be perfect. But here's the thing, no QB hits every single throw. Disagree. Green didn't look rattled and confused last week. Plus you change the gameplan with green. More designed runs and the option might actually work. Um, did you see how many bad throws Cody made last week? Guy was incredibly lucky to get out of that game with only 1 INT. Could have easily been 3 INTs if not for drops by the DBs for Tech. Guy was awful throwing the ball. But people only remember a garbage time TD and think that overshadowed everything else. Quote Link to comment
Street Novelist
I don't know what's worse. watching Lee throw the ball or watching the receivers "attempt" to catch it Quote Link to comment

amezu29674
My buddy at the game just texted me and said the first song the band played was "Livin on a Prayer". Now hows that for ironic? Quote Link to comment
